Finally saw Deadpool last night. I liked it but thought it lacked something. Cant put my finger on it though. The smart *** raw language was predictably amusing. The second rate side kicks were better than I expected. The story just wasn't as engaging I guess. Perhaps thats the point, people **** him off and he wants to kill all of them asap, simple really!

Interesting take on Deadpool. Thanks for posting, but in the future, since Deadpool is in the Fox Marvel X-Men universe and not the MCU, I'd post it in this thread:

Norman Reedus as a potential future Ghostrider???

That would be great casting if it happened. That said Ghostrider would be a tough sell for me because all I can think of are those horrible Nick Cage movies.

Not gonna lie. It is going to be hard for me to get that sour taste out of my mouth first too. Not impossible, but it would have to be pretty good to pull it off.

Some 4Chan user on the internet is "apparently" claiming to know what the future MCU Phase 3 & 4 lineup looks like for movies. Who knows if it is true, but I guess it is fun to debate.

FYI... love finally seeing Nova in the mix.
If that is Sentry OR Spider-Woman, give me Spider-Woman. Sentry being kind of a crazy Superman would be interesting but he is one of those that is just so powerful that it kind of makes it boring.

Agree. I like the New Avengers idea for a movie as well. If it were to happen, it would be really interesting to see what the cast would be made up of and how many "old" Avengers would also still be in the mix. It is interesting to note that Mockingjay (in Agents of Shield right now) and Luke Cage (Netflix series) were both key members of the New Avengers, so could we possibly see those two cross streams into the movies? I'd be okay with it. Shoot, Luke Cage was the leader of the New Avengers.

Now that Agents of Shield Season 3 has hit Netflix, I just started watching it this past weekend and am 2 episodes in right now. So far, so good I'd say. With that said, just sitting back and observing the tone, the production, the structure of where AOS is now verses those first few episodes of Season 1, it is amazing how much the show has evolved and changed. When I say that, I mean it is for the better too. There is no doubt AOS got off to a rough start in that first half of Season 1 with its more kid-friendly, villain of the week format. Luckily, things then took a pretty major tone shift turn for the better after The Winter Soldier twist in Season 1. Now, ever since then, it has seemed like the show has just got better and better as Season 2 was wwwaaayyyy better than Season 1 and so far, Season 3 seems to be continuing that trajectory. With that said, remember I do recognize I'm only 2 episodes in to the series, so things could change. There also still remains many of my previous frustrations with the show in the lack of crossovers and the lack of even acknowledgment in the films of what is going on with the TV side. However, in episode 1, it was good to see tje little crossover of seeing President Ellis make an appearance. I just want to see more of these crossovers with even bigger characters.

Its funny, as I posted this earlier as a pretty positive review of Season 3 after the first couple episodes. However, then just after that, I thought the next few episodes were absolutely terrible again, falling into the same stupid high-cheese factor action and tropes of the early first season again. However, I just finished episode 9 and its turned things back around and gotten good again. Man, talk about an up-and-down ride with this show. There are literally times where I really like it and others where I hate it. We'll see which side the back half of the season ends up.

I've got a few questions for you guys this morning if anyone is interested in answering:

1. Would you be up for Marvel getting the rights back to the Fantastic 4 and subsequently bringing them into the MCU, obviously with a full reboot, or do you just think those characters don't work and need to just be sidelined?

2. What would be your preference to see done with the Fox X-Men Universe?
a. Keep the MCU and Fox X-Men Universe separate like it is now
b. Have a huge crossover event with the MCU that intersects the two already established worlds
c. Strike a deal like Sony did with Spider-Man where Marvel can reboot the X-Men within the MCU

3. Since Disney now owns both Lucasfilm as well as Marvel, which are the two biggest shared universes out there right now, would you be up for some type of MCU/Star Wars universe crossover? Technically speaking, the only thing that wouldn't make much sense from a continuity standpoint would be that Star Wars takes place "A Long Time Ago....". With that said, the GOTG would be a good intersecting point.

I've got my opinions on these, but I'd like to hear other's first. With a couple of them, I'm not completely unswayable in my opinions.

1&2: I honestly think the MCU is big enough. There are tons of characters. If 2 were to happen then I would want it to just be one crossover event I suppose.

3: Interesting thought but please no.

This. Keep it simple.
Pushing this thing too big is asking for troubles, both in terms of the cost for Marvel and the ability of the market to handle too many films.

1. I just don't think Fantastic Four are all that interesting as heroes. Aside from Ben Grimm/The Thing, the rest of the Fantastic Four suffer the "Superman" paradox, where there really isn't a downside to their powers. They can turn their powers off/on whenever they want. They are intelligent, successful, wealthy and have no real flaws of any kind. The villains in Fantastic Four are far more interesting.

2. I like the separate universes. The MCU and X-men films are tonally different, which I find refreshing as a viewer. It's kind of like Jason Bourne movies and Jack Ryan movies - both film series have the hero trying to unravel some kind of government conspiracy, but one has more action and the other has more intrigue.

3. I'm not really a fan of that cross-over, but I'll throw this out there: Labyrinth was a LucasFilm property and Disney already owns the rights to the Muppets. I think a Labyrinth remake financed by Disney (possibly directed by Tim Burton) would be awesome.

I am firmly against crossovers. I think it dilutes the products. The MIB/Jump Street crossover pisses me off greatly.

I would like Marvel to regain the rights to the Fantastic Four purely for their villains and the Silver Surfer. There are several major villains that Marvel can't use as they were determined to be FF characters, such as Kang and Annihilus.

Trigger, did you have a chance to see the extended cut of BvsS? I heard it's much better.

No, not yet. As of right now, it is only out on Digital Copy if you want to buy it that route, as the Blu-Ray release date isn't until 7/19. As of right now, I've got the 4K blu-ray pre-ordered, so I'll just be waiting for that. From the reviews I've seen of it, most say that it is a better version, it does fill in some of the plot holes, but it doesn't fill all of them, and it doesn't change a lot of what is fundamentally wrong with the movie overall. In the end, most say that it is an improved version, but if you didn't like it in the first place, it won't change that overall opinion. Who knows.... I'll eventually see.

I've got my opinions on these, but I'd like to hear other's first. With a couple of them, I'm not completely unswayable in my opinions.

So here are my thoughts now on the matter:

1. I'm 50-50 on this one. Part of me would like to see them come home and get rebooted into the MCU, whereas the other part is just over them and would much rather just see Marvel focus on other new and existing MCU characters for future movies. It isn't like they are needed in the slightest. However, I do really like the idea of Marvel at least reacquiring the rights back simply to get access to their villains, as there is a TON of great potential there. Nevertheless, if Marvel were to reboot them in the MCU, I'd want them to make sure there is a great story and way to do so first.

2. My vote is to keep things separate like they are now when it comes to the X-Men. As far as I'm concerned, the X-Men universe is somewhat of a mixed bag, but still pretty decent overall, and like has been said before, I also appreciate its different tone. I also think that adding all the X-Men characters into the MCU would just be too much and only end up diluting everything that is already there, not to mention it wouldn't make any sense from a continuity perspective. I mean, if mutants are around in the MCU, where have they been over the past 50+ years of continuity? I'm also a big advocate of having as many superhero movies as possible each year and the biggest reason we have so many movies right now is because we've got 3 big studios making them (WB/DC, Disney/Marvel, Fox/Marvel). If we were to suddenly eliminate one of them, that inevitably would mean less movies, beings how Marvel/Disney can and will only produce so many MCU movies a year. Lastly, all of my feelings come with that caveat that I'm all for the status quo until someone starts mucking it up. For instance, if Fox starting producing all crap movies all of a sudden, then I'd be ok with rethinking my stance. As for crossing over the two universes, I hate the idea. I like as tight of continuities as possible and all it would create is some stupid big mess in an attempt to make money.

3. In general, I'm against the two starting to mix together, but for some weird reason, I'm not totally against it. At a minimum, it could be fun to just drop an Easter egg alluding to it or something like spotting Rocket or Peter Quill sitting across the bar for a split second in some random Cantina. If you wanted to have everything match up from a timeline perspective, maybe it is a glance at The Collector or someone who has been around for many years.

On episode 20 of Agents of Shield right now. Man, does anyone else just absolutely hate the character of May in the show???? I haven't been able to stand her from the get go. She is a terrible actress, her character is super one-dimensional, and she is a lot of the reason for much of a cheese factor in the show. I mean, just when I thought she wouldn't whip out my all-time most hated line again of "if I need a gun, I'll take one" (so so stupid) again, she did it. Man, I hope that character dies by the end of the season. There is no doubt she is fighting for the #1 spot on my most hated list right now which also currently includes the characters of Laurel Lance (Arrow), Roy Harper (Arrow). The next bit lower tier then includes Foggy Nelson (Daredevil), Mia Dearden/Speedy (Arrow), and Eddie Thawne (Flash).
