Man Visits Every Pizza Ranch

The government should fund a research project on the love kids/grandkids have for pizza. It’s a pretty amazing phenomena. Kids will turn their noses up at quality food and pig out on any cardboard covered with cheap fake cheese, red glob and (the worst) pepperoni. Pepperoni is basically grease. The only food item I’ve ever seen pepperoni in other than pizza is West Virginia’s pepperoni roll and another study could be done on how that became the designated State Food of West Virginia. It’s disgusting.

I worry about the people singing the praises of PR's chicken. Blink twice if y'all need help.

Is it their best non-desert offering? Almost certainly.

Is it great fried chicken? Not even close.

I can't have dairy but have always loved pizza - I just have to take all the cheese off. What I have absolutely despised is that over the past 15-20 years, places like Pizza Hut, Caseys, etc are no longer consistent. I'd say 75% or more of the time we order pizza from any of those places the dough hasn't risen, it's incredibly limp (from not rising or being cooked all the way), and even things like the Cactus Bread are hit or miss.

I used to love Pizza Hut (the old fashioned sit down time in the 90s and early 00s) and Casey's the most because they were consistent and had the "bulk" you expect from a well done pizza. That all went out the window for the sake of speed, quantity over quality, and lack of effort.

The few times Ive had bad constipation, I hit the Pizza Ranch and eat a bunch of dark meat chicken skin.
Works great.
Hut Hot is my go to, followed by Arby's when I need to "clear things up". Set a timer for 40 mins when starting to eat and you're good to go after a pit stop.

The old Chinese buffet in Ames by Aldi (name is escaping me right now) would be it for me. Every single time I needed to be home within 20 minutes of finishing the meal.

As I recall, somewhere in the late 1980's, the one in Sioux Center did a pretty good job. On that memory, I visited the one in Dickinson, ND on two occasions within the last few years (including this past summer). Not so good...

On the other hand, if you ever happen to be in or passing through Dickinson, ND, Los Cabos is a great Mexican restaurant.
