I'd be behind selling the Midwest to Canada just because of Pizza Ranch. Hy-Vee is getting to be a close second.

Grandkids like it, so hit the one in Ames once every couple of months. Great chicken, pizza is fair at best. There are worst places to eat in Ames than Pizza Ranch.

I grew up maybe 4 hours from the ND border, and I couldn't name 14 cities in North Dakota if you put a gun to my head

Probably 15 years ago I had business in Hull, IA, and offered to take my contact to lunch. She suggested Pizza Ranch and I asked if there were other options. She got a little peeved, noting Hull was home to the first Pizza Ranch and the corporate offices. Do NOT make light of Pizza Ranch in Hull or Orange City - large Dutch men love the place...

You are correct. The one in OC is cut above the rest. I haven't been to all of them, but that one stands out in comparison to the others I have visited.

Pizza Ranch has definitely fallen off, at least in my opinion.

They used to be better but the buffet food quality has really went down hill.

Maybe its just different locations as some of the ones I have went to that were better were years ago but in other locations I used to live or frequent.

My kids love pizza ranch though, because my daughter loves the mac and cheese pizza, and they dont have to sit and wait for food.

That being said its been a while since I have went to any decent buffet outside of Chinese places for quite a while.
