I think the way college football works nowadays it's really easy to bail quickly. Texas Tech looks really solid, so you have like 5 teams playing for that 2nd spot in the Big 12 championship game. That makes your margin for error 0 right now. With the bowl system being a disaster, what becomes the point after that?
I see your point. But that also assumes that every other team at the top wins out which outside of Tech (and even then) is unlikely. Everyone is going to slip. ASU already did, TCU was really close to slipping, BYU is a complete unknown with a horrendous stretch of games coming. Injuries do suck but there is plenty to root for in my opinion

Kyle Bonagura’s bowl projection snub irks me.

Even it is an honest mistake to leave ISU out and he intended to put ISU instead of KSU in the New Mexico Bowl that is pretty ******* low.

It is effectively the 10-12 lowest pick out of the conference.

Mark Schlabach has the Cyclones playing Auburn in the Liberty Bowl.

Feels like we’ve missed our shots. We were insanely loaded during the Purdy era — completely wasted. Somewhat similar situation with Brecht, and this train ride is nearing its end.

We have so little margin for error that we need perfect execution. I thought we had fixed many of the bone-headed coaching decisions this season; things were looking great. And then we do… this.
If you are going to troll, at least take the time to spell the name of the single most recognizable player correctly.

Holy **** I forgot how quick to bail on things this fanbase is. We’re 5-1, and really could be 6-0 if not for a few things on Saturday not going our way. Not saying we deserved to win in Cincy but it was there for the taking. I think 9-3/10-2 situation is still alive. I lean closer to 9-3 as I did to start the year.
I agree. 9-3, 10-2 if we catch a few breaks. I hope Iowa Kornrardy is able to go after the next bye.
(Why they don't have the Iowa Kornrardy field goal zone yet is beyond me). It is from about the positive 45 yard in.

7-5 or 8-4 and some meaningless crappy bowl game

BYU, Kansas, and ASU run us out of the stadium with an effort anywhere similar to whatever this is
True, but if ISU plays well (and/or any of those opponents play poorly) they can win all 3. Hell, win those 3 home games and you still have a shot at Dallas because you'd have tiebreak over all of them.

I figure they will win 2 of those 3. Plus 2 of the 3 road games. So 9-3.

Have to think we can win 2 out of 3 against ASU, BYU and KU, don't see a path to a victory at TCU, so we have to beat Colorado next week.
Are we sure TCU is that great? Are we sure Hoover will still be on his feet by the time we play?

IDK, I never have a good feel for TCU...

I felt before the season started a 9-3 record was most realistic. Nothing has changed my mind yet

A lot of games worry me due to our DB situation. ASU, BYU, KU and TCU worry me. All have good QBs and offenses.

Been at this for a long time, I worry about ALL Cyclone games. Apparently it can't be helped, just part of the gig I guess.

Surprised you aren’t calling for Campbell to be canned again already.

About time. I was wondering if you would or not. I'm proud of you.
Serious question, you are wanting ISU to suddenly have something they have never had?

Dont get me wrong, weve had good receivers, but i dont know if I can remember the last time we had more than two "stud" receivers.

And now were back to you defining what you consider a stud receiver

Not having a kicker that can get points 40-50 yards away is a killer.
I think we can go 5-1 rest of way but things really have to go our way. Probably 4-2. No kicker back? Dicey.
