8/11 practice

RB's are looking great. O Line very very solid. thats our strength.

Defense is strong on the outsides, working on the inside.

QB is getting competition from a transfer from a JUCO

3 Juco Wr's showed up today, and 1 big time WR recruit from Hopkins Minnesota failed to qualify.

Then you have no excuses when you lose.

Congratulations! You successfully transitioned from hockey...er...degenerate reservation casino gambling...er...well, you made it to football season up in North Dakota, and none too soon. I'm sure you'll have a fabulous year playing something that resembles football in an inferior division against and with inferior athletes...if you can call them that. We look forward to your mighty, 1,384 fan base rolling into Ames on Sept. 3rd to watch your team get slaughtered. Best of luck drinking away your income waiting for hockey season!

We are looking forward to the game. We plan to stroll the tailgate lots, is that appropriate?

IMO, strolling the lots is the best tailgating method in Ames.... everyone should be nice and people are generally friendly in Ames, but beer can make some not so 'nice'.

Have fun in Ames... . and here is to you having a LONG ride home.

NDSU doesn't have D-1 hockey. That's UND, and they're damned good.

I was just invited over here by one of your administrators, isucyfan, and I do thank him very much, on behalf of all the Iowa State University fans, I am sure. To that we toast!!!

This is a game that has been brewing for a number of years. There are two stats that worry me:

1) The Cyclones get 14 more plays/game

2) The cyclones get 4 more first downs/game.

Otherwise, the statistical picture favors NDSU. I know you play in the Big 12 and might feel that your statistics are somehow more "legitimate" than the BISON, thats understandable. To get the picuture you need to understand our league, the Missouri Valley Football Conference, MVFC for short. Its very competitive. In Fact, University of Northern Iowa, and old foe of NDSUs, is an annual contender.

Absolutely appropriate to stroll tailgating, it's our best sport at ISU.

I think most of the D1-AA stats get dismissed (and yes I know its FCS now) because of the size/speed differential.

2 words:

Foot race.

Bison better hope they can run with the big boys, because if I were Tom Herman or Paul Rhoads, I'd find out how deep the NDSU roster is and how good the conditioning was.

I'm glad we at least have a scrimmage before we play a real team the following week, i think Valley high school might of had a bigger offensive line last year then NDSU has...just saying

The stats look favorable for NDSU. The running game should be strong (good OL and RB). The Defense is strong on the edges. The returning starting QB is getting pushed hard by the newcomers, and his stable of targets just received reinforcements.
Are there any areas of concern- in regards to the ISU game and beyond?
