Let's all watch this erection together!

A couple photos from my vantage point last night.

Can't See!

I like it - really will make a big impact during the games. The supports look very strong. I'm just curious what wind strength this thing has?

I could see some tailgaters (students) staying in the tailgate lots during the game instead of getting a ticket because they can tailgate and watch the game at the same time. Will it make a huge difference? I don't know, but probably not.

Actually, I think we see the same number of students get tickets and go into the games. The difference, IMO, will be at halftime when they flock back to the lots to grab another beer. I think a fair amount may end up staying in the lots to watch on the videoboard, especially if the game isn't close. Will it be a noticeable difference? Probably not. But, probably more than if the videoboard was facing north.

I was also wondering what's the amount of head winds that this massive erection can withstand.

This should accelerate the plans to stop allowing re-entry in the third quarter. Hopefully. It's long overdue.

Actually, walking through there tonight, there isn't very much space in the student lots you can see the board from. Trees, the old scoreboard, and other random crap is in the line of sight.

Never.Gonna.Happen.

1. The 'problem' is highly exaggerated. 90% of the crowd missing at the beginning of the 3rd is due to people waiting in line for restrooms or our our slow-*** concessions. If you watch the band and go for concessions\restrooms, you usually will miss half the 3rd.
2. Those that benefit most from being able to leave and come back are those in the close lots. Those are bigger donors. No need to needlessly **** off a bunch of donors.
3. If you get rid of reentry, some of those are still going to leave at half, theyre just never going to come back in.
