Maybe he was hanging out in Cliff Alexander's old room in McCarthy Hall before the game.
This is why.
I'm not questioning the talent upgrade, just the coaching mind that is going to put it all together.
Wow... that was a rough watch.
Was he this bad at LSU? Guess I can't remember his press conferences there.
Here's a link from KU sports........ Brutal. I can't wait for the first time he had to make a quick decision during a tight game.
I feel sorry for Les, maybe it's not but it seems like a medical issue/getting older thing. Listen to it for yourselves. Sorry do t have time to post the link.
For real though, Les is 65, yes? And taking on stress from which he'd had a break for awhile. In one of the most stressful professions in America.
Is Les really not okay? He might need medical attention. Seriously.
its either heads or tails bud.
He was bad back when he was at Okie Lite. Not this bad, but he's never been a good public speaker.
this joke works because; A. the closest they will be in the game is at the beginning (score 0-0). B. that is the joke
Wasn't he a studio analyst for a while or something like that? I remember seeing him on tv.
I thought he was OK in the clip. I thought he was being "thoughtful" with his words and treating this event with the gravity you'd hope.
I think some are just looking for something to jump onto and beat with their fists for some reason.
IIRC, didn’t he appear to be drunk or dazed and confused at his introductory press conference too?
Agree. That was much easier to listen to than all of the stammering that Paul Rhodes used to do.
You should listen to more of it then..no way did he sound coherent.
Ya, that wasn't that bad. You have to be really careful these days when talking about something like this. Some longer pauses but said the things you would expect a coach to say.
Dude had several head scratching pauses but one was nine seconds in the middle of a thought - NINE.
What a train wreck...maybe I'll watch it again.
To be honest, Miles has always been a mess in things like this, going back to his days at LSU. It simply is not his strength.
