You don't want to know.
I somewhat agree with this. Doesn't really matter.
However, if you want to outright lie to the media and every fan base in the conference, it does mean I hope he has zero success there and I hope ISU beats them like a rented mule. Just an absolute display of mental gymnastics. And I mean toddler gymnastics.
Here's what you do if you don't want to answer the question. Don't reinstate him a week before media days with a slap on the wrist. Or you say, "Pooka fulfilled everything the KU expects of him in the offseason. Now let's talk football".
He didn't do either. He hemmed and hawed and passed the buck when he is in absolute control of the program. That's cowardly behavior.
Wow. Just listened to the whole press conference.
Compare the first 3 minutes of his to Campbell's.
Here are some low-lights:
Talked about his top 2 QBs and says they can be "great ... or good."
Referred to "putting a field on the team."
"A degree is attainable" [apparently unlike at LSU].
Smacker Miles. I don’t know wht to make of this name.
Kansas is ******
Les Miles is at KU for the same reason Diana Ross performed at Hancher in Iowa City last week and Robert Deniro made the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie.
Actually he has had brain surgery previously, involving a cyst in his head that had to be drained when it was giving him migraine issues back in 2001 while coaching OSU. He also had a mysterious trip to the hospital at the request of his athletics department staff in 2015 while at LSU. He was fired almost precisely one year later.
For the record, weight gain, unsteadiness, and sedation are common side effects for many migraine meds.
This would make sense. But still, he is going to be inhibited as a coach if he has such struggles in communication (and perhaps even in thinking).
That's pretty irresponsible to float a totally unfounded theory about someone's medical status out there like this.
I'm not floating squat.
I linked an article.
As someone with a close friend on migraine meds, I mention that only in the context of others suggesting he potentially has a brain injury, or more serious issue.
Getting treatment for headaches should not preclude anyone from being a successful football coach. It's coaching at Kansas that usually does that.
I thought his daughter was attractive...
Who the **** cares
He showed them his National Championship ring and they signed him instantly.
I have a feeling he's lost what he once had and has nowhere near the athletes or support he had at LSU when he succeeded.
Yeah none of us signed a HIPAA form or anything. And we don't have any bearing on his job status.
But where does she fall on the Vicky Mendoza Line?
My mother went to school for drama and directed plays for years. He is bad.
If she's as crazy as her dear old dad, she's straddling that line.
