we like to think waukee is really smart haha. yeah. if you have all A+'s you can have a 4.33, and AP classes are weighted, so you can have up to a 4.58 GPA... its weirdWow, a 3.4 not in the top half? That seems like a lot of grade inflation.

This is why they have standardized tests, such as the ACT.Some of it could be if they have an advanced grading scale or not, or are pretty much all schools using that now? We switched systems my senior year, went from all grades whether + or - counting the same to one where you got less points for a - then you did the regular letter grade and more points for the +.
Depends on your high school, too.
Even if you don't care, you should be able to get at least a 3.5.3.0 gpa for today's kids is pretty good I think. Kids are caring less and less about their grades.

There are plenty of kids in my school with 4.0 or very close to 4.0 who never study and don't do homework.
High school is really easy to get by with a 3.5 unless you do absolutely nothing, or just aren't smart at all.

I wouldn't read too much into a high school GPA. Many students, athletes in particular, just sorta coast by.
Apparently the kid gets it done on the football field, and he has grades good enough to get him into school. Just fine by me.
Nice get this late in the game by PR.
i thought quarterbacks were supposed to be smart. in my book a 3.0 gpa isn't exactly brilliant but if herman thinks he's capable he probably is.
word on the street is that peyton manning cant even start his lawnmower or run the washing machine.
Interestingly enough they ran the Tony Franklin system at the high school in Penn. Obviously Franklin was the OC at Auburn last season. It seems to me Herman and Rhoads went and found a guy who knows the system comparable to the one they will run to get as their QB. He is obviously not a guy with a lot of stars, but he has a good knowledge of the spread offense and he has a good amount of talent to work with. Capello won't be a guy looked to be the guy until he is a junior or senior unless he shows he is better than Tiller. I really like the get looking over it. I think this will be a kid we can really develop over the next several years.
welcome aboard James. he looks pretty good with his feet and throws a nice deep ball.
