Lebanon is close to Harrisburg. Most of the QB's (Namath, Marino, Montana) are from the Pittsburgh area or the steel towns not too far from Pitt.

This kid was the offensive player of the year for AAA in Pennsylvania and also named all state. To have that kind of a senior season and not have other offers is a bit interesting - why???? If nothing else, several mid-majors should have been trying to pluck this kid, he's obviously got skills.

Interesting to see for the season, he had three games where he passed for under 200 yards - all three were wins. In the four losses his team had he passed for 292, 297, 323, 293 and whats even more important to me is a season completion ranking above 60% and a passer rating of 118 - thats really good, and must be accurate.

This is the first time ever in CF history I think that instead of arguing about 40 times, weight, size, etc., that the GPA is an issue, and it isn't because he may not qualify, it's that he isn't smart enough! Has CPR's recruiting really gotten so good that all people can find fault with is GPA's now?:yes:
I know that isn't the case at Ankeny where kids start taking honors courses as Sophs. My daughter has 3 - 4 hours of homework everynight. A lot depends on the school and what you take. If you take all easy lower level classes that is one way to get a higher GPA, but taking honors physics, calculus, honors english, organic chem and honors spanish is a different story. He could also be a multi sport athelete which takes a lot of time. So, stop judging the kid since you haven't seen his transcripts.
Yeah, I think I graduated high school with a 2.7 or something. Honestly, high school was more of a social gathering for me than anything else. The classes were not very challenging and I really wasn't that motivated to do well. I was motivated enough to pass.
8 years later I was rolling through college full time with a 3.75 while working full time.
In watching this kid's highlight video posted on another thread, I could help but notice how well he throws across his body while on the run. It has some striking similarities to a former Cyclone QB although he doesn't appear to be as quick with his legs.
No I think there is a small vocal minority that looks for a black cloud in a silver lining.

I'm also perplexed why this kid wasn't at least getting mid major offers? Seems to have the talent and skill to be very appealing at that level to garner a bunch of interest.

The state of Pennsylvania has produded some pretty good QB's in the past, although a little more highly touted out of the high schlool ranks. Hopefully, he'll develop steadily and be ready to take over when it's his turn.

I think we may have found ourselves a diamond in the rough. Watching his junior year highlights has me a bit excited about his elusiveness. He can throw well on the run and escape defenders. I'm excited about this guy.
