after seeing some video on him, this kid has a cannon for an arm and is a definite playmaker. dont know why he hasnt gotten more looks
3.0 gpa for today's kids is pretty good I think. Kids are caring less and less about their grades.
There is a difference between being football smart and book smart.
Interesting that he's listed as pro-style and more of a thrower than runner. I thought we'd be going after someone more balanced under Herman.

I wouldn't read too much into a high school GPA. Many students, athletes in particular, just sorta coast by.
Apparently the kid gets it done on the football field, and he has grades good enough to get him into school. Just fine by me.

true about different smarts, but i'm in high school and it's pretty easy to maintain a 3.5 at least. in most cases kids that have a lot of street smarts or football smarts could do really well in school if they tried. and like i said, it's pretty easy to get at least a 3.5 without studying or giving forth a lot of effort.
Yeah, look at Peyton Manning.
Kidding aside, we have no reason to distrust Herman. If he is confident enough in his abilities to offer him a scholarship, then I'm sure the kid will do just fine.
Herman is Mensa smart after all.:wink:
my school, you arent in the top half if you have a 3.4, but other school, breaking 3.0 is pretty solid.
Some of it could be if they have an advanced grading scale or not, or are pretty much all schools using that now? We switched systems my senior year, went from all grades whether + or - counting the same to one where you got less points for a - then you did the regular letter grade and more points for the +.
