I'm betting Prohm and LW discussed it already. If LW decides to withdraw from the draft then he's welcome back at ISU provided there's an open scholarship. But Prohm is going to move ahead under the assumption that he has three open spots to fill. If those spots are all taken if/when LW withdraws, he's outta luck at ISU. Tough spot for him, but given how fast things move in the spring recruiting period coaches can't just sit on a scholarship and hope that a star player will change his mind. It's just a part of the risk that an underclassman assumes when they enter the draft.

It is. But they might still not know for sure. At any rate, he has to proceed like they aren't coming back at this point. Can't ask a recruit to just wait a couple weeks to see what someone else decides to do. FWIW I don't think either THT or LW have any intentions of coming back.
