For once we agree. Jelly only needs to be on side, and I typically do same side as the PB, just on top of the PB.Sounds like cheap bread. I jelly one slice of bread and don't have an issue of it soaking through.

Well it looks like we found Elvis...Skip jelly and make a PB and banana sandwich like every other sane person.
What are you talking about, no way you get the right ratio that way..
PB goes on one slice first, then (squeezable) jelly/jam goes on the other. You don't put each on both slices.
Exactly!!What kind of monster puts the jelly on first?
Exactly. I make the sandwich for my consumer. I use smooth for everyone else and chunky for me. Daughter doesn't want much PB with grape. Son wants more with rhubarb jelly. Mine is double chunky PB with rhubarb or strawberry. Kids' sandwich is cut in half, mine is whole...The ratio is personal preference, so you can spread the pb as thick or thin as you please.
Look at the elitist who can afford to run the dishwasher as many times as he wants. It's called a dishwasher

Yeah, but it's unnecessary. You can accomplish that easier by just putting PB on one slice, Jelly on the other. The ratio is personal preference, so you can spread the pb as thick or thin as you please.
Jelly goes on with a spoon, what kind of animals are you?
Shouldn't it be Bugles (original)?PB first, Preserves second on the same knife.......then a thick layer of nacho cheese doritos. Yessir!
I can’t believe people dirty two utensils to make pb&j. Do you use a spoon for cereal and then pour any remaining milk into a glass as well?
