Re: ***Offensive Coordinator Search Thread***

Doesn't Nevada run the pistol? It seems like we have the personal to run that offense well.

Yeah, but their architect is the head coach, Chris Ault, who is nearing retirement.

I don't know how much the OC does there.

kingsbury excites me, however I would have to assume if he would go some where that it would be a bigger BCS school's OC....

Re: ***Offensive Coordinator Search Thread***

Kingsbury would be great but tough to get IMO. Depends a lot on what Sumlin is going to do. If he stays put, I think it's possible. If he goes BCS somewhere, I'd guess Kingsbury goes with him.

With Kingsbury's Big 12 ties, I could see him wanting to be in this league. It's a guarantee that Sumlin won't be in the Big 12.

I agree with Kingsbury as the #1 option.

I wouldn't be upset with Canada from Northern Illinois.

Re: ***Offensive Coordinator Search Thread***

Suggestions:

Houston Co-offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury

John Shoop - on his way out at UNC, but more pro-style

Ryan Cubit - head coach son and QB coach at Western Michigan

Matt Canada - NIU QB coach and offensive coordinator

Dave Baldwin - Utah St. offensive coordinator

Just spit balling here, but all these teams were top 20 passing efficiency this season.

Re: ***Offensive Coordinator Search Thread***

Well it's gotta be someone who will run a spread offense. If not we will be ****ed for another 3 years.

Wasn't kingsbury the opposing QB the game that Seneca had "the run"? He was a damn good QB, and you gotta be impressed at Houston this year.

Indeed. He was the first guy to put up Playstation numbers for Leach.

Kingsbury is the home-run.

I wouldn't mind whomever Butch Jones has in Cincy either.

Whoever it is, it's got to be a guy who runs a spread offense. It HAS to be. If not it will sit this team back 3 or 4 more years.

I dunno...he's supposedly the spread guru but he really struggled at Auburn. However much of that had to do with Tubberville handcuffing him, I'm not sure.

I'm not sold on Houston's OC. They had a 6th year senior at QB. How would that offense have done without Keenum?

Do you think Herman was forced out? His contract expired this year and was getting paid well.

He was pretty bad at Auburn. What was La Tech like this year, offensively?
