Hamilton Possibly Coming Back

Was just looking at some Hamilton stats. One that stood out to me was this:

On offense, he grabbed 13.7% of rebounds that came off. On defense, he only grabbed 13.5%. Odd.

A little, but his job was to clear space for Brackins and Gilstrap to go get the ball.

I'm sorry, next time I'll make sure to tell Ham and the staff to do what is best for ddisu, not the individual player. Sound good?

I'm not saying he couldn't do whats best for him and discuss it with the coaching staff. It is how HAM decided to transfer, an announcement was made and that was that. That is my beef, not that he may have contemplated it and ultimatley stayed at ISU.

Every program has some drama. Just look at Iowa or OU or even Kansas. It's just amazing how everyone freaks out about a couple players transferring at the end of the season for McDermott. This happens at almost every school. And it happens to our very own Bill Fennelly in the women's program, but nobody seems to be bashing him for it.

Who wouldn't want Ham back? He's developing just like Homan. And I have yet to see anybody on here say that they hope Mac fails. It's just that many fans are tired of waiting for even a little success and hope for the future.

If he does stay, what do you think he will avg. I think he will be about a 8/6 guy, maybe a 10/8 guy. I just can't seem him going for 15/10. Most of the time to avg that you need nights of 25/15 to bring up your off nights and I really don't see that.

10/8 sounds about right...what he gives us is on the defensive end.

I think he plays a little soft on help defense. He may be coaced that way though. I think he was in foul trouble 1, maybe 2 games. The gaurds get beat to easily and it would be nice to see a hard foul once in a while. I know we were short handed but to only have foul trouble in 2 out of 32 games I think shows a lack of a little mean streak.

Duh, see Oklahoma... and probably many many others schools.

Virginia as well, I guess. Just read this article this morning. Their leading scorer just announced he is transferring, among other departures. ISU isn't exactly an anomoly...

It marks the latest shakeup for the Cavaliers. Bennett announced Monday that freshman swingman Tristan Spurlock wouldn't return by mutual agreement. Earlier this season forward Jamil Tucker was dismissed for academic reasons and guard Calvin Baker left the team because of an ill family member.

Every year yahoo sports does a transfer log that shows who's transfer from what school to where. It usually comes out after the end of the Tournament. ISU is not the only school that has a lot of players leaving. The list is long and the schools on the list usually have 3-4 players leaving.

Come back Big Ham. We can find out a way to pay for an apartment for your family to rent here in Ames, and also could find a way to get your family some paying gigs (what, other schools do it...).
