Guys?! WE WON! (Official Postgame Thread)

Gotta give props to Booker tonight. Those threes were big even though I'd like to see him more effective down low. He showed some hustle as well.

Indeed. He did disappear in the second half though.

A&M isn't very good this year, we should be able to hang with them even on the road. It will be a good test for us.

this team definitely has issues and everything is a struggle but slow style of the game due to a foul on every possession didn't due us any favors.

there still seemed to be a lack of effort and hustle tonight. my father put it best when he said that the team is like a pro team shoots lots of threes and looks lazy in all other aspects.

That type of **** calling of a game by refs takes advantage away from whoever has momentum. I thought the effort was very good. Had some lapses of concentration, but I'm happy with the way they played considering the refs controlled the game.

Is it me or does Royce at the top of his follow through of his free throw shot lean back? Therefore short arms it. Free throws were a problem tonight, but that will not happen all the time. Liked the 2-3 zone defense tonight as well

Beats disappearing for 2 halves like he has done in the past.

The 2nd half officiating made it tough for anyone to get in a flow.

Granted. I would venture to say this was the most complete game for these guys. Sadly, that's not saying much right now because they still have a lot to work on, BUT it appears they are all starting to find their roles. CA still has me concerned. He likes to call his own number a little much for my liking.

In case you missed it Rick Barnes had sugery. He also has put like 1000 players in the NBA.

That was a good game out of this team. They did struggle at times but found ways to bounce back. Maybe things are slowly working out for them.

One thing that is nice is that we can finish close games. How many games did we lose in the last couple minutes last year? Sure we should've won more games by more points but hey I'll take the wins.

The FT shooting late is going to take a toll on CFH though.

Very proud of this effort tonight. The guys came in and brought their intensity all game long. They adapted as the game went on and looked like a smart, determined team.

Great win tonight! That's how we want to start conference play.

A win is better than a loss, but we barely beat the worst Texas team there has been in a decade, by 6 points with 4 of their players fouling out or going out with injuries.

If we beat A&M on the road, I'll be a lot more confident.

There is some truth in what you say about this Texas team compared to previous years, BUT Brown and Oingokaboingo are big-time players. There may be inexperience on the Longhorn roster, BUT their roster is FILLED with 4 and 5 star players. This win wasn't pretty, but we got it done! We make 70% of our FTs tonight and we win by a much larger margin, and there'd also be much more positive comments on this message board.
