Toast is toasted. Grilled cheese is fried. No thanks on dipping my grilled cheese in jelly.

Grew up dipping it in ketchup. Still do. It's more out of habit than anything. That's only if I go ultra cheap bread and processed cheese slice, though.

If I make a proper one with texas toast and real cheeses, I don't dip it in anything.

It's not a meal I plan out though. It's more of a "something just came up and I need to make something edible in 5 minutes and I don't have any lunchmeat" kinda meal.

I know a girl who thinks of ghosts. She'll make you breakfast, she'll make you toast. But she don't use butter, she don't use cheese. She don't use jelly, or any of these. She uses Vaseline.



So maybe try Vaseline, I guess.
