Am I the only person who thinks he’s crazy not to go pro? Was he just not evaluated that high?

I haven't paid a ton of attention to early draft boards but this shocks me. High usage RB with a ton of success and nothing left to prove = time to go get paid.

He's stupid unless he was told he would not get drafted until late rounds which I highly doubt.
Agreed, I just don’t know what else he has to prove. Surely he can’t repeat the season he had last year...
His choice. It's a deep draft class for running backs but I still don't get it. I don't know what else he can do next season to change what NFL evaluators think of him.
Lot of good running backs coming out this year, maybe he thinks coming back for one more year, will give him a better shot at moving up next year. Good for him.
Call me crazy, but perhaps Chuba enjoys college, wants to win more games in college, and desires to get a college degree while attending college?
He’s also Canadian so he may not share the American view of success

That's probably pretty accurate. Dobbins and Jonathan Taylor are definitely the top 2. Beyond that Hubbard would have been in the mix with Etienne and Swift for the #3 spot. Hubbard probably would have been a 3rd round pick. With him and Tylan Wallace both returning, as well as some other weapons, I think they will end up winning the conference. Early prediction. I think they lose two o-linemen but return pretty much all of their offense other than that.
Don't blame him. RBs with the current CBA get screwed. Your career is done by the time your rookie contract is complete. So if you're not good enough to hold out and get a new deal early, you're not making much compared to other positions.

The only problem I see is, with a running back’s limited career span, he’s probably taking a year off his shelf life either way. I’m not sure if the CBA will change that radically.
Maybe he’ll get more support from the other Cowboy running backs next season, and take less wear and tear.
OSU is going to be very good next year. This solidifies that further. They were young and now bring back almost all of their key pieces. I expect them to be Top 2 in preseason Big 12 rankings.

If that’s the case, he should red-shirt or sit out. Same with Trevor Lawrence.
I don't know why people think JK Dobbins is that much better of a prospect. Hubbard has a bigger frame that will hold more weight if needed and looks more athletic to me. I think Chubba would be a better combine performer than either of the back you listed. He is a special athlete.
I am not current with the rules, but to me you should be able to participate in drills before declaring. The fact the athlete assumes all the risk is just another example of how BS the current NFL system is for young players.
