...The best audio quality I've found is from the OTA antenna. Do cable and dish companies compress quite a bit from their boxes?
Yes. Dishes more so than Cable Co's, I think.

Doesn't say, I'd guess not long though. How long is this deal good for? I was thinking of waiting until closer to the tourney time to maximize NCAA tourney on TNT/TBS and MLB on ESPN.

You have access to Google Fiber and you don't pay for the Gigabit!?!? But no, 5mbps is probably not fast enough to do it reliably.
I think they said this spring for HBO Go on the Fire Stick.I have had a Roku stick for about a year. Love it. But don't do Sling TV on it. Watch mostly Netflix and Hulu Plus and have had no issues. Biggest difference between it and Amazon stick is that Amazon doesn't have HBOGO. But if you have a Kindle Fire HDX, you might be able to cast to Amazon stick.

I'm not hip with this kind of stuff since I haven't had a tv for a while, so correct me if I'm wrong. You get the Fire TV stick for free with 3 month sling TV purchase, plug it into your HD TV, and boom, you're watching TV?

If it had that plus the major networks on it, I wouldn't think twice about getting it
You mean like the one's you already get for free OTA?
