Cargo Shorts

I gave a speech wearing sweatpants at ISU my senior year, the professor docked me points for “inappropriate attire for a speech”. Yes, I would do it again.

Funny how my job now requires me to wear gym shorts or sweatpants to work.

People still wear sweatpants? I haven't worn sweatpants since grade school.
I guess it depends upon your definition of sweatpants.

On a side note, we are taking a trip out East and will be visiting Philadelphia as part of the trip. You've got to believe that I will be taking a picture at the top of the stops with both arms raised.

I'd probably wear the complete groutfit too if my daughters and wife would let me. I'm probably not the best person to be commenting on fashion.

I wear cargo shorts daily. Last week my wife was dressing our 2-year-old son and she got out a pair of cargo shorts for him. He immediately shouted "Daddy!"

It was around that age that our son started calling his dress shirts "daddy shirts".

I'm wearing sweat pants right now.

Of course I'm also home with a sore throat and a 101 degree fever...so theres that.

My daughter is afraid my shorts will be too short. We lived in South Africa for a while and I threatened to go with this style...she was mortified!

I’ve spent time in the Oranjeville and Potchefstroom areas in South Africa which is their corn country and Swellendam in cereals country. The ongoing joke is the best thermometer is the length of the farmers shorts. Every farmer and agronomist I met there was dressed exactly like your top picture.

I'm not exactly sure what to make of this but I think you're telling us that South Africa corn country is now at the cutting edge of fashion instead of Milan, NYC and Paris.

I was in Kentucky/Cincinnati over Memorial Day weekend. As I'm walking around seeing short styles I'd never seen before, I continually thought of this thread.
