Not sure about "this beat up" - every team has injuries. I think Colorado's injury list before the game two weeks ago was just as long as ours.

Our issue is more that an entire position group has been waxed due to injuries. Last year it was LBs, this year it's CBs. If we have one LB go down for the year, it's bad but it's manageable. Same with one CB. But when we have the entire position group go down.......
Are most of the injuries game or practice related?

A. Colorado’s injury list was several longer than ours. 20-16, when I go back to look.

B. Two corners getting hurt is “the entire position group”? Cummings-Coleman is a S.

Orange absence does not surprise me at all, he's been one of the worst players on the defense since his injury in the Arizona game. He's obviously more seriously injured and honestly the staff trying to trot him out there is kind of crazy
Agree, Orange needs to sit until he is fully healthy if that is even possible this season. Total mistake to play him the last two games, he's gone from the best player to a liability.

Most of the starters are game related besides Cooper. Who knows what lingering injury a guy has that gets worse in the game. Kyle , Dom etc but they played and had to be pulled.

And placekicker. I don't ever remember a 4th string, emergency kicker being used. Maybe one being used as a KO specialist because he has a cannon for a leg but isn't accurate, but never getting that deep because of injuries.

Take this guy's stat manipulation with a grain of salt. He's a Ute fan that thinks they're too good for the Big 12 so seems his bent is to try to paint the Big 12 in a bad light.
For example, viewership for games on ESPN+ isn't released. Instead of removing those games from the data since there is none, he assumes 0 people watch those games and includes it in the average for that team and, thus, for whole conference.

Also here are examples of him pining for a Big 10 invite.

He we go again. BYU also plays a number of older players (who went on mission) that have had a chance to physically develop versus other programs.
This year has been a bit of an anomaly for BYU in how little we’ve been banged up. Sounds like it’s gone in the opposite direction for your guys, which sucks.

I will say, I don’t think the mission age thing has much if any bearing on our guys having less injuries. Usually our post-mission guys have just as many if not more injuries than the other players. It’s pretty hard for guys who have served missions to get back in shape after taking a 2 year break from the game.

Wish your guys weren’t going through so much injury junk. You’ve got a solid team and we wish we could play you with both of the teams at their best.

Lots of betting predictors have been on ISU this week. I’ve been pretty pessimistic about this weekend, so hopefully they know more than me and we can live up to that -2.5 line. I was just surprised to hear that so many are picking us to cover that line from the national pundits.

Apparently ISU football is at a 'Conference Title or nothing' level.
I wouldn’t say that. Rather, I think losing to a bad CU team made many people (again) question if ISU has truly taken a ‘contender’ step up with the program. Certainly there are more wins than past eras and yet there’s continual head scratchers that fundamentally solid, well-coached teams don’t make. Can’t blame every loss on refs and injuries.

I'm not saying they're at that level or that refs and injuries are to blame. I think people get caught up in the record vs. what the make up of the team actually is. For talent, it's solid, but...who are the NFL guys?

5-0 sounds and looks great but it wasn't like ISU was a force of nature throughout.

Seasons ebb and flow and sometimes things don't go well even if for a couple of weeks.
