The steps for helping a person that is choking have changed. RedCross training last year said to use back blows before using the Heimlich.Cheat sheet. Keep some in your office, maybe wallet, and in your car. I don’t practice it enough, and feel the pressure of the moment something could be lost.
EDIT: please take a CPR course, if needed, much better chance of saving a life.
That is awesome. Rotate out things that expire.(Because of kids) I keep a first aid kit in all of our vehicles at all times and one in the house.
Printing this off and stuffing in there is easy and I should do that. Thanks.
Lets be honest too. Any kid that thinks they're hurt loves a band aid. That is awesome. Rotate out things that expire.
Plan on breaking ribs if you’re doing CPR I’d say.
Also he had some really fit, well trained individuals giving him that CPR.
Almost always. Btw this is why you need a death plan at any age but especially if you are getting older and having an older relative. The fact that more people don’t have DNR orders post 90 is asinine. Yeah I brought your grandma back, sorry her rib cage is crushed. People torture their older relatives because selfishly they can’t say goodbye.Plan on breaking ribs if you’re doing CPR I’d say.

The one I was trained on had a pictogram (in the top) of each step;, got to know where to put the pads and what button to push, machine does the rest. Then let it monitor until medical professionals get there. It knew when to Zap, or not Zap, and would Zap again it the situation warranted. We had these all over the office, but I'm not sure anyone was actually trained on how to use them

If intubated, not you cannot talk. That's where writing would come up.for the medics/docs on here, if he is still intubated for oxygen, can he talk ?
If you aren't close to breaking ribs, you aren't going hard enough.
