Mine would be JJ Moses - could you imagine a JJ Moses along with Brock, Breece, Kolar, and Hutchinson??
He would not last a couple days with Campbell. When a guy says it’s too cold to practice, and doesn’t, it’s not Matt’s style.
Bo Williams. His 20+ yards per carry would be a great mix with Breece.
Just 1 player it would have to be at WR for me because Purdy needs a solid goto guy outside of our TE group so would be a toss up between Lazzard and Butler for me. Butler was more of a deep threat but Lazzard had better hands to come down with tough catches.
I feel we are pretty well rounded on defense and the OL that any of our all time greats there just wouldn't have as big of an impact as 1 of those 2 would when I feel that WR is still a position we have a lot of question marks at coming into this season. Milton and Shaw could step up and fill the role as a deep threat but neither have shown us enough so far to think they would beat out Lazzard or Butler in their last seasons as Cyclones.

I'm "old-ish" enough to remember Crutchfield well, but I don't remember that nugget. Elaboration encouraged.
Same...and maybe...just maybe (if the story is true which it certainly could be) he wouldn't take that approach with this staff? Either way...he was a BEAST!

This. He could be played at guard on this years team which is his natural position.
Defense: Matt Blair
Offense: Allen Lazard
Second Choice Offense: George Amundson (I'll keep Purdy as my 1st string QB)
Third Choice Offense: Troy Davis (I'll keep Breece Hall 1st String RB)
Pretty amazing to think I'd rather keep Purdy over say Amundson or Seneca Wallace, but he is the best ISU QB so far. Tough choice keeping Breece over Troy Davis, but I love Breece, ride that horse one more year!
This was my thought just from the thread title. He would be a monster at nose in this defense. Not from a stats perspective, but he would absolutely unlock everyone else to go crazy.
I feel like we are very good everywhere honestly.
