Shane didn't say that, Yancey McKnight did. And what he actually said was that Brandon was slightly ahead of Jake athletically at the same stage.
I'll also point out to people that late in the season, while Brandon started, Devlyn COUSIN (not Cousins, any more than it is Rhodes) was getting most of the playing time. And playing well.
In either case, it's great to have Brandon back.
That defensive back completely left campus, not just the team. It also sounds like they've been unable to contact him.
Brandon on the other hand had been in the program for four year. He let them know back in December he wanted to graduate. The two are completely different situations.
I think they're totally different situations, largely because Jensen was in the program 3.5 years while Moore was in the program 3.5 months.
Jensen may even get Moore's scholarship.
There was another guy. In this picture, he is standing on the near sideline, just on the other side of the 30 sign, between two guys in red shirts.

I imagine there is a correlation between good NG play and the fact we've had a linebacker lead the conference in tackles for, what, the last 3 years?
First, come on people only BJ knows why he left. If I recall it had more to do with him just losing the fire to play more so than losing PT. Maybe he's realized that it's his last shot and why not try again as you don't get to come back once your career is over...who knows. A week ago this board was wondering how we even field a big 12 dline and now we get back a proven starter and some are all righteous with him leaving fball? Give me a break like another poster said this isn't war.

He did have the same sideline demeanor as Brun, being very social with everyone. I guess I never got to see him much without his helmet.
The only thing better about this news TODAY of Brandon Jensen rejoining the team is if it would have happened last week.

Not disagreeing with your post. I was back at the Spring game and heard from a buddy that the reason Jensen (and maybe Krohn) left was because Coe and Irving were "getting away with murder" and the coaches were not doing anything about it. If that was the case, and you are BJ working your tail off and the other 2 mentioned above were not being disciplined/worked at the same level he would have been, I would be ****** too. Now that Coe and Irving are gone, that hopefully will be a non-issue (if it is in fact, true).
The point is that if you just go look through each roster at the tackles for DLine, you won't get an accurate comparison. Most rosters will list both interior positions at DT, so in order to get a real comparison you'd have to take the time to look at depth charts for each team to see who was playing the nose. More work than I'm assuming you did.
I'm not in any way saying Jensen is some type of All-American NFL player, but he's also not a below average NG for the Big 12.
Yeah, we got new guys all over trying to learn their assignments in base 4-3 defense. Let's confuse 'em even more by going 3-4. Please.
