***Bowl Games Thread***

I think everyone knew it was possible Ohio State was playoff-level. The problem is they didn't have the resume to prove it, and a non-blue blood would not get the same benefit of the doubt on that.
I want the committee to pick the four best teams. That's their job. OSU is without a doubt.
I also would like more than 4 though, especially this year.

If it's all about dropping the head, don't call it targeting, because that's something different. 47 wasn't targeting on that hit.

I thought it was funny when Dabo ranked Ohio State 11, but man, you gotta back it up when you do something like that.

I will compromise and agree that hit is worth an ejection as long as they start flagging every single runner with the ball for lowering their head (and that happens a ton). The rule is for the safety of all players by rule. So then you have to treat them all the same way. I want the 4th Quarter of all games to be between a bunch of second and third stringers.

We understand the rule. We just happen to think it's a stupid rule in that type of situation. The ejection on a hit like that is idiotic.

I would say this is wrong. Some obviously don't understand the rule. Is it dumb, sure, but continuing to argue it's dumb to people explaining why it was called is also dumb.

There have been many rule book experts chime in here. And I agree by letter of the law it was targeting. Will say again, both can be true. The rule is stupid the way it's penalized. That's what most people are upset about.

You guys are morons. Fields initiated the contact to the head. The defender had his head to the side and hit with the shoulder. All head contact was because Fields spun.
The defender had his head down. The spin had nothing to do with it. If he went with his head up like you’re supposed to, it’s a non issue.

Bingo. Spot on.

Some ejection is warranted. The Vontez Burfict (spelling) hits deserve ejection. That guy's a head hunter. Those are the hits that need taken out of football.

OSU looking sharp. They have some athletes.

I'd guess about 90% of their team are more athletic than anyone most of us have ever known.

I've seen OSU a couple of times at Camp Randall and those programs/teams are just thick huge dudes that can do anything.

Fields is limited to move and almost got himself hurt worse. Can’t believe they aren’t doing x rays so he can come out in the 2nd half with confidence if nothing to worry about.
