Bingo. I have been saying it all along, it is easy for Coach Mac to get us to feel sorry for him, acting as though he has been blindsided by all these defections. The saying "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me" is fitting for this situation. Do all of you really believe that these defections are a result of bad luck? While there is a slim possibility that Greg has ran into a string of bad luck, wouldn't the more obvious explanation that either: 1) His coaching style and his approach to working with these kids is ineffective and is driving players from our program and/or 2) He has whiffed on several different recruits brining them into a level of basketball they cannot be competitive at.
If I were golfing, and I 3-putted every green, I could say it was bad luck. Putts were lipping out, a putt didn't break the way it should have, ect. But at some point, I would have to realize after 18 straight 3-putts that maybe I just suck at golf.
