***Beer Thread***

I have a case in my basement.

Do you have the red or the green? I think the red is similar to their Zeelander, and the green is something different all its own. Almost tastes a little like hoppy tea leaves. Really good.

Just one of both

After my 11 hour day I looked over the Moose Drool, Optimator, Lienies Vanilla porter and sams winter lager and made a white Russian.

Water. Had a little too much fun over the weekend, including yesterday. Getting my *** out of bed at 5:15 this morning sucked. Going to give the ol' liver a rest for a while.

Having a Backpocket Slingshot. Backpocket is a brewery in Coralville. Slingshot is a German Dark Lager style brew. What is everyone else having after work on Monday?

The boys down at Backpocket do a great job with their beers. It's really the only decent thing to come out of Johnson County since Charlie Rodgers.

Was in Wisco this weekend visiting in-laws... Trip made tolerable by grabbing some New Glarus and Sixpoint (brooklyn brewed, but owned/started by a guy from wisco)... Tonight was the New Glarus Black Top (Black IPA). Tomorrow, probably a Bengali Tiger from sixpoint, maybe a Resin instead...

I need to make a road trip to Wisconsin. Also want to try Lift Bridge and Balast Point Sculpin.

Love Resin. Their tap room was closed when I visited my cousin in NYC, otherwise I would have stopped by. Did do the tour at Brooklyn Brewery, though. Some solid beers.

This seems like just as good of a place to post this question, but what would be a good Minnesota/Twin Cities beer that I could give someone for Christmas?

If you didn't want to buy them beer, you could get them a GC to Town Hall brewery. I've only been there once but they have some great beer.

As dmclone said, Surly is the premier TC brewery, but if you're up that way, Indeed and Steel Toe are making some great beer these days.
