Sorry, I was just told to log on and check out this thread. I've been tied up for a few months...

Anyhoo, get it taken care of?

Seal up your holes or you're going to relive this over and over like Groundhog Day. I've used expanding foam in tool bars, etc.

Welcome back Bugs we've missed you.

Cy Fan jinx at it again. My son was just mowing and picked up a candy bar wrapper, stuck it in his mesh shorts pocket.

Luckily only got bit four times and now know that he's not allergic.

We once tried to take down a bee hive with a water balloon from the back of a golf cart. It was great.. The cart moved just fast enough for the bee's to be flying right behind us ****** off but couldnt sting us. Yes, we were idiots.

poor kiddo!

My brother once decided to go after a nest with a water gun. Got stung enough that he's now mildly allergic. His face was about three times its normal size.

Bugs! Good to see you :)

sorry OP got stung (I did warn him), but glad he is alive.

I thought I got them all then flipped over the board to find a s*** ton of them. They dug a 10 inch whole in the ground that was at least a foot wide. I grabbed the hose and drown the bastards and spray the crap out of them. I found the queen and decapitated that beyoch in front of her whole family.

My nuts are still a little squeamish from the close call. Feel bad for them. Never like frightening the little guys.

Well, ****, need to reread thread since I just ID'd the little bastards flying under my deck as yellowjackets. So add yellowjackets to mud wasps and paper wasps that I have dealt with in the past week.

They are flying under the wood deck I had built over my old concrete side porch on 2x4 sleepers. No way to spray except between the decking cracks. Don't really want to have to remove decking but may have to.

Summary: Within a 10 foot radius I have paper wasps in the porch can light (deceased); mud wasps on the stucco and deck umbrella (deceased) and yellowbastards under the deck (alive and ****** off).

Right after this started I found the little bastards entering where my vinyl siding meets my foundation. I have been filling up the shop vac half way with water and leaving it running with the hose a couple of inches from where they are coming and going. Whenever one tries to leave or return they get a free trip to the pool. I need to find some of that powder you guys were talking about. I was hoping to not have to get stung a few times to get it up in their portal.

How did I miss this entertaining thread till now!?

I missed it late afternoon when OP returned, and I was showing it to husband last night, saw the posts about "why did I wear athletic shots! the grundle!" and I was laughing so hard I was crying.

My brother stepped on a nest when he was a little kid -- they were under some old boards. Right up his pantleg. probably got stung 50 times. He's now allergic too.
