Batemon & Toure

I expect Killyan to be a starter next year and provide the exact same ball pressure on opposing point guards that he has done every game this season.
That’s the thing. Wanting to bench Toure is a shallow assessment. Lipsey said KT was the best defender he’s ever seen. That means something. It’s possible and even plausible that his offense improves but you can’t teach that kind of drive.

Toure hit a three. The slump is over!!!!

But seriously, I really wanted TJ to tell Toure, "We are up by 40, I want you to take every open 3 you get until I take you out of the game. The way shooters get out of a slump is to keep shooting. Don't worry about making them, just work on your shot."
Same here. Once that lead got big I wanted Toure and Heise to launch a three about every time they touched it to see if they can get rolling.

It's really not that deep of a team and you have to have guys who can cover the ball.

I'd say he's also better on the handle than Batemon and ISU doesn't really have a strong back up PG type.
Mason Williams will be a nice addition since he played PG at East. Wash. At 6'5", he could play some SF as well.

And we all think Tamin wants to win... Ever notice Killyan in the last minutes of a game ISU has in hand? I thought TJ was going to have to assualt Toure in one game because he couldn't get him to back off on pressuring the ball in the back court in the closing seconds. Dude is just wired for pressure.

Even after Toure hit that three, he still looked a bit tentative to shoot again. Part of that could have been not trying to run up the score and just running out the clock.

Seems to me Toure is just caught in between. I'm sure his coaches and teammates are telling him to stay aggressive, but he's kind of picking bad spots to do that. He will pass up shots and then it's almost like you can feel him saying "ok I have to make an offensive move now" and he forces something in the paint. The other issue is with how open he's being left it's just out of rhythm. It's less catch-and-shoot and more dribbling into an open look.

uh...wut?
During warmups for the second half of ISU's Big XII women's final game in 2000 Desiree Francis got sick and threw up all over her jersey. She played - and played well - in the second half wearing the team's blood jersey. We were there and didn't see the incident. We were confused why she was wearing a different number. Only found out the reason after.

was she hammered? or just a flu game? Either way, impressive.

Bump for Killyan's up 20 end of game sprint and dive for a meaningless* loose ball.

*Only meaningless in regards to game outcome. Not meaningless in what he means to the team.
