Ok, and? Last year was a great year. Not sure how that’s calling for someone to be fired.

I didn't say anything about anyone getting fired. There will be a small group of people voicing their displeasure and whining about TJ. I'm not sure there has been a time in your Iowa State fanhood that you have ever been happy.

Right now with basketball. Basketball when Fred Hoiberg was here. Campbell for the first 5 years. Rhoads for the first 4. Plenty of years.

Why did we fire Rhoads? He was a local guy who loved it here. Nobody wanted to come here cause we are Iowa State.
Because Rhoads was terrible, his only winning year was his first at 7-6. Campbell has accounted for more bowl games and winning conference records than all those before him. The odds of another new coach doing what Campbell has done are extremely small. Perfect, no, no coach is, but some of you just can't recognize excellence. When you have an excellent coach, you give him your full support.

Yes, of the 100s of coaches in FBS and FCS there was only 1 that wanted to come here. We are Iowa State. Nobody would come here.
Lots of coaches want to come to ISU. They're young, ambitious, and unproven. Should they have some success, the majority would be looking for the next step on the ladder. We are BLESSED to have a successful coach that wants to BE here, not just come here.

I have followed from afar, so I do not qualify as an expert in ISU Football History. But, I believe you should be minting the statue for CMC so when he does leave or retire, it can be immediately put up at the entrance. ISU has been lucky to have a quality person who just happens to coach fairly well. This coach is HIGHLY respected in coaching circles nationwide. He could get most coaching jobs in any of the power 4 leagues. He could get ANY open Offensive Coord job in the power 4 conferences. GOOD LORD PEOPLE, WAKEUP!!!!!! NOTE: I respect all opinions as I become age handicapped.

If we get bumped in the Sweet 16, people will be complaining, reality is that is why the games are played. Sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way.
100%. You can already see it in threads about basketball. The expectation is Final 4 and anything less will be considered a disappointment. Bottom line is that a regular season men’s BBall title is still the gold standard for the entire season. So many variables in a post season basketball tournament where a single loss on a neutral floor ends your season.

I’m using for the people that seem to lack any context to why we are 8-2 like we’ve been playing the best football in program history. I’ve even mentioned we saw far better level of football played earlier in Campbells tenure. His 2017 team would have ran through the past few weeks. I guess we can expect poor football to continue, but don’t get mad when people point out we aren’t that good.
I'm just curious. Does the 2017 team get to play all of their players in your scenario or do they have to play their 3rd string LBs and have multiple other miscellaneous injuries to starters?
