He never has, despite Herbstreit. I've been a cyclone fan, student , alumni for 50+ year. CMC has been the best thing ever for Iowa State and it's not even close. To question him and his ability to CONTINUE to elevate the program is just stupid.

The head coach at ottumwa is on the top of my list. They did go 7-2 just like us which has me sold. That’s the best we can do cause we are Iowa State. We’ve been historically bad and nobody wants to come here.
Luckily with fans like you, Gunner and LAClone we could probably put the Ottumwa coach on a payment plan.
Just hire him. I mean the program is unraveling at 8-2 and I absolutely trust the gut feeling of you and Gunner given the numerous College Football championships you won back in 2011 on PlayStation. I mean just run verticals and if it doesn’t work you can always go to Freshmen level. Change is coming fellas!!

In my opinion, there will be a vocal minority coming after TJ if we struggle offensively in a tournament game this year like we did vs Miami, Pitt, and first half against Illinois.
There's been plenty of passively going after him for all of the success so I can see that.
Theres always complaining, hindsight, and foresight. For CMC and TJ. Easy for people to re-read the TJ hired threads.
People have a tough time admitting they were wrong with a lot of this. An easy example for myself is that I think I could be VERY wrong on my opinion of Nebby hiring Rhule (I thought it was a good hire).
I'm not going to comb through but through the years if things weren't going well for stretches a few 'needed an interview process'ors would speak in code to suggest he wasn't the guy for the job.
