They like to pat themselves on the back publicly...
Some 3rd hand info I have (take that for what its worth) says that Ramsey was the one who called 911. Seems that those who knew Ramsey are completely in shock with this news.Wonder if this Ramsey lady was the Rottlund employee who made the initial call to police after finding Ashley Okland? So many questions

Obviously we can all agree the murder was horrific and a terrible tragedy. That being said, I'll be fascinated to see what the defense team uses as a strategy for Ramsey.
Yes, A LOT!Have the changes since 2011 been that crazy? Everyone is using examples from 40 or 50 years ago. Not 15.
Newspaper report at the time IDs the woman who called as Wanda Fowler

Fowler attempts suicide
Clipping found in The Des Moines Register published in Des Moines, Iowa on 6/25/2011. Fowler attempts suicidewww.newspapers.com

Wonder what spurred the suicide attempt. Distraught over coming across Ashley’s body?
Yeah I wont tell you in the info I got was 100% correct. It sounds like Ramsey was somehow involved in finding her, and had discussed those details with people she knew.Newspaper report at the time IDs the woman who called as Wanda Fowler

"Hey Wanda, did you hear something coming from that unit too? Anyways, I've got to return some video tapes, bye!"Somehow indeed.
Victory lap I suppose. I'm guessing they don't want to jeopardize the case by releasing information that may tip her lawyers to something.
You could make an assumption that maybe she was worried since she was the one that discovered her that they would think she was the main suspect in the case. You can only imagine now with how much more prevalent social media is than it was 15 years ago even how people might perceive that she had to be the killer since there weren't other leads. Just my guess that the whole situation probably stressed her out and if she already had any other kind of prior depression issues this just escalated them.Wonder what spurred the suicide attempt. If anyone has ever watched the Dateline episode of the Justin Michael murder in Grimes it was interesting to see how they were able to figure out who the suspect was in that case. There was a time during the questioning they suspected his girlfriend did it because she wasn't showing much emotion during questioning and had no blood of his on her despite being in the same bed as him when he was shot in the middle of the night. Was almost like they thought she may have done it and was trying to cover it up until they finally started to put some other pieces together and realized who may have done it. I think the episode is on YouTube somewhere, that murder was probably a quarter mile away from where I live so was a bit creepy watching that episode knowing the area the murderer had been scouting in advance.
Jealous wife?
I worked with his fiancee when that episode first aired. She was NOT well around that time. She/her family wanted nothing to do with it, and Dateline essentially told her "you can either work with us or we can paint you in a very bad light."You could make an assumption that maybe she was worried since she was the one that discovered her that they would think she was the main suspect in the case.
