We do almost nothing to put pressure on defenses. Heck, we even slow things down to help them have time to figure out the personnel, formation, tendency, and probable play call.

It’s not a talent issue, it’s a coaching and player development issue.
Earle Bruce was the best coach we ever had. I’d put any one of his 8-win teams against the 2020 team.

I do hate that. I call it Meerkat Manor. Always looking to the sidelines. The players need to have a level of autonomy. They should be checking the defense not waiting for Dad to say if it's ok.

Wanted Otz. Not Prohm. The Process guys gave us Prohm. I gave him a chance but always found him lacking. Not enough to make a change, But always found him inheriting a program. Never a build.

My comment was in regards to the best coach Iowa State ever had. The best coach Iowa State ever had is Earle Bruce. No, he is not available. The Big 8 from the 1970s and 1980s isn’t available either.
It’s wild people get so defensive when it’s mentioned Campbell should make some changes to the offensive staff. And then try to turn that into people wanting CMC fired when that’s not being said at all.

After the third straight 4-7 season in Earle’s first three seasons many were calling for Earle to be fired. I know. I was at Iowa State at that time. Fortunately the naysayers were not listened to.
People want the OC and a few position coaches fired. This isn’t hard to grasp Stormin.

Yep but he has achieved pretty well throughout his career and is a more seasoned head coach. I also stated most want CMC to succeed - I certainly do. You wanted a name and I gave you one that has a career record of 192 - 113 in 26 seasons and only five losing seasons which is pretty good.
He built a winning program that was consistent with an upward trajectory. He didn’t go 4-7 or 3-8 once he had the program built.
Runs up the middle don’t work, screens to the flat don’t work. Why the **** is Manning continually calling those plays? is CMC blind to this? It is frustrating as hell that we waste so many plays due to Manning. Fire his ass and get a real OC.
