Another Female Teacher 'Incident'

What tells us about her psyche is that she risked losing her job, doing jail time, and doing damage to her future employability just to have sex with multiple teenage boys, when she likely could have had as much sex as she wanted with men that wouldn't have risked all of those consequences. This is not normal. Hopefully the court will get her a pysch evaluation.

I assume this is directed at me since it followed my post and used the word psyche which I did as well. If you read my post and the post I was responding to you will see I was addressing the conclusions the poster was coming to based on her posting a picture of herself in a costume. I think it is a little ridiculous to draw a bunch of conclusions on mental state based on a picture that may have been taken and posted any time in the last several years including when she was in college. There are quite a few obvious issues based on her actions as you suggest, but to lump that picture in there I think it is probably grabbing at straws. It doesn't take a lot of imagination to think the media might use the most sensational photo they can find of the accused with their story.

This was a very entertaining thread to read. I don't think gender makes a difference to me, its more age and consent. If the students were say 12, then I think automatic jail time no matter consent. At 16 I feel its a little tougher to say automatic jail-time if the students consented. I obviously don't know the actual law, this is just one idiots opinion. At 16 I feel you're smart enough to make decisions like this. However at 16 you're still a child with adult supervision so I see possible jail time if a parent really feels strongly about it. I think a teach should definitely be fired in all scenarios. Best practice for teachers, is to just not go there.

It happens more frequently I think than gets reported. I had a cousin, who easily could have had his way with his teacher at 17. She had to be like 30. He didn't go there, but he sure thought about it when everyone including his uncles were telling him to do it.

Sorry - I don't think every case of sex is rape or abuse of power and I'm reasonably familiar with the legality of it. I'm unconvinced she was grooming these kids like a pedophile would. Nothing I've read leads me to believe the "victims" were innocent lambs who were lead to slaughter by this succubus.

Teachers should not have sex with pupils - especially non-consenting pupils. Consenting adults is sex - plain, simple and dirty. Non-consenting adults are the horrible victims of rape which has nothing at all to do with sex.

Here's my theory: The Teacher is completely insecure young lady. The popular good looking macho dominant alpha students flirted with her and she highly enjoyed it. The alpha males sensed blood in the water, she was too insecure to realize the situation and grew to love the attention the students gave her. The students eventually closed the deal.

I fear this is most likely the case. Not a teacher taking advantage, but rather the students taking advantage of an incredibly insecure girl. Really, why else would she do it. Not to mention "on average" confident 25 year olds who carry themselves correctly do not post seductive pictures of themselves as "sexy cop" on their facebook (or where ever the media retrieved this from).

Just a bad situation all around. 17 year old hormones at work. We've all been there, some of us are still going through it.

Had this been a male teacher, I would feel exactly opposite and would look at the teacher as preying on young girls. In this case - nope.

IF someone uses their position of power to seduce children, that's wrong m'kay. I do not feel this is that situation. Consensual sex is consensual sex regardless of gender but that doesn't mean she shouldn't lose her job.

Now, we do not yet know who initiated the relationship in this situation but of the four people involved there is ONE who knew beyond any doubt that they should not be in the relationship and had the power to stop it. That is the teacher. The teacher had all of the power in this relationship and she chose not to end it.

I think you may have missed the last however many years that humans have grown more and obsessed with promoting themselves in anyway possible, including seductively. Not saying the wastes of space below are being seductive, but it's a prime example of vanity and machines taking over.
