He's dead on. How are they supposed to pay out billions in settlements to child sex abuse victims if they're paying a coach $15M a year?
Well, if ND offers him 8+ million, plus a bunch of incentives with like a 10 year contract with a ton of money guaranteed if he is fired.....I don't see how he doesn't take that job. That is pretty much about the best job you can ask for in the area he grew up not named Ohio State.
If you get MC in an interview I think its pretty much over at that point. He has a certain presence about him.
Really the only con for him at that point is the pressure to succeed and I don't think that will be an issue for him. especially if he has a large payout on early termination.
Just to give some perspective on this.
If he were to go to ND, he would probably be taking the top 10 ISU commits with him. The decomits and transfer portal would be hopping.
We probably would have many guys playing in the bowl game at all.
Would just be such a kick in the pants to an already disappointing year.
So there is a lot riding on this is why I am overreacting.

No sarcasm, I'd be fascinated to know what you're extrapolating from that because it looks pretty bland to me.
Its no longer Thanksgiving but I'm incredibly grateful I'll never interview with you or work for a company with you in charge. I haven't heard by 9:20, its over, pack up his office. Clean it out.
I know we're Iowa State and all and used to the door hitting us every which way and all but my word. I'd advise not deciding the world has ended until you know, the world is actually ending.
TBH if I was in a relationship or worked with someone who every single time someone hot walked by they freaked out and started panicking that I was going to leave them... I'd probably leave at some point because it'd get exhausting that every single time my commitment to that person was questioned no matter what I said or did....
again, will he leave at some point? Today, tomorrow, a million years from hence? Sure. Probably. Possibly. My point is at some point it'd be exhausting to be aware that not only did everyone outside of your fanbase always expect you to leave and say that X,Y,Z meant you were leaving... but that a portion of your own fanbase acted the same way.
Until its official, I'd prefer to have faith, have confidence in that Iowa State is not Notre Dame but we're also not some NIAA or Juco school.
In a way I'm glad ND is open. If he goes, he goes and I can't say I blame him. If he doesn't get the job, for at least the next few years that's one less open job for us to worry about.
HE WOULD TAKE IT IF OFFERED. Also all of this crap about him not caring about the money would apply with ND. He’d be cheap.
Ah. Well I'm not sure I agree there, social media's been around long enough that a guy like him surely realizes he's being watched for clues, and thus dialing back his activity.
