Behind the Dodgers an Lakers they are probably the 3rd most popular "franchise" in the city of LA
Attendance says they are behind the chargers and Rams. People keep talking about the Carroll days, but they aren’t recreating that. They aren’t going to be far and away the best team in the country, with a generational talent, and no NFL teams in town.

NFL attendance? Not a good measure.

If you've lived in LA, you know they're basically a pro franchise and third most popular in the 2nd largest market. .That includes when LA had the Rams 1.0. That is HUGE in NLI. If they're good, their inherent recruiting wealth is unrivaled in college football imo. Bama in the south has way more competition even.

College football still won't matter as much on a per capita basis out there, but that has yet to impact how many recruits are there.

It's because 40 percent of the fans are cheering for the other team. The most popular NFL team in LA is the Raiders

USC problem is the have lost kids in LA to SEC schools or to places like Clemson.

This hire will help them gain the upper hand in the LA recruiting market. The Bama QB is a SoCal product. Mater Dei high school is a football factory. SC had struggled pulling kids from there last several years.

Kiffin just posted a pic of Louisiana parts, i assume trolling, but you never know.

I see Kiffin taking the Miami job before either OU or LSU. His personality doesn't seem to fit with the country folk around the SEC.
