Afroman and the first amendment.

I sympathize with him 100% as they get away with this too often (they've even gone to the wrong freaking house, tore it apart and then refused to pay for the damages), though I'm concerned about the implications of his response.

The problem isn't specific to these cops, it's institutional, so I would have advised him to attack and expose that, particularly when the legal system protects itself, rather than its victims.

How do you get to adulthood without realizing that actions have consequences?

They ruined their own reputations.

When people receive the shield, they regularly become of the opinion that it means the law that they enforce doesn't apply to them, and the shield will protect them from any consequence... and too often they're right.

Anyone else following this?

"In 2022, Ohio police raided Afroman’s house looking for drugs and kidnapping evidence. They found nothing and filed no charges.
To pay for the damage they caused, Afroman used his security footage to make viral music videos (like "Lemon Pound Cake") mocking the officers. He also sold merch with their faces on it.

The Twist: Seven of the officers sued him for "invasion of privacy" and "emotional distress," claiming his videos ruined their reputations.

Right Now (March 2026): They are in trial. The judge threw out the privacy claims, but a jury is currently deciding if Afroman’s lyrics—calling them "thieves" and "racists"—count as defamation or protected free speech."

He is now releasing tracks on every crooked cop. lol

I wish I was on that jury. Afroman would never be convicted. :)
I'd get his autograph afterwards:)

I thought that too. imagine just being from rural ohio and getting to do this for a couple days

I once had an aluminum canoe stored at at house that ended up being part of a murder scene. The local cops executed a search warrant for a dead body. It was winter and the canoe had about 6 inches of ice in it (as evidenced by the ring around the sides). The cops turned it over and beat it with a pick ax to get the ice out, putting about a dozen holes in it. When I called an asked about reimbursement they just said "sucks to be you".

Inside the house they tore doors off of two kitchen cabinets. I was not the owner but they got nothing either. Again they were looking for "a body". Basically they can damage your house with impunity.

We need to Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap those guys.

Interesting question. However, we're not the jury and without the full weight of evidence provided to them we shouldn't also be the judge, jury, and executioner. In other words, I don't know enough to make a comment.
Well, this is in competition for the most pointless thing written on the internet all day.

He’s AfroMan. He’s not going to take down the system. But at least he can embarrass these losers.

Ya gotta take the Ws where you can.
