Anyone else following this?

"In 2022, Ohio police raided Afroman’s house looking for drugs and kidnapping evidence. They found nothing and filed no charges.
To pay for the damage they caused, Afroman used his security footage to make viral music videos (like "Lemon Pound Cake") mocking the officers. He also sold merch with their faces on it.

The Twist: Seven of the officers sued him for "invasion of privacy" and "emotional distress," claiming his videos ruined their reputations.

Right Now (March 2026): They are in trial. The judge threw out the privacy claims, but a jury is currently deciding if Afroman’s lyrics—calling them "thieves" and "racists"—count as defamation or protected free speech."

He is now releasing tracks on every crooked cop. lol

It reminds me of when a burglar breaks into your house, falls down the stairs, and then sues YOU for damages. Sorry bub, you shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Maybe an honest apology would have kept this from becoming personal. Cuz when you put someones face in the video to name and shame them, it's personal.

This has been awesome to watch clips of. The best one was the officer testifying that afroman song about sleeping with his wife has caused him distress... then says he doesn't know if she is cheating with him. That one probably is going to get Afroman in trouble LOL. Who knows how this all ends up but its good entertainment for the time

Going after the wife (I only watched bits of 2) to me is over the line. Never attack family members.

I remember when his music videos came out a couple years ago, figured it was settled by now lol.

Crazy how you can be sued for using your own home security footage. maybe he went a little far in his diss videos but still...

I once had an aluminum canoe stored at at house that ended up being part of a murder scene. The local cops executed a search warrant for a dead body. It was winter and the canoe had about 6 inches of ice in it (as evidenced by the ring around the sides). The cops turned it over and beat it with a pick ax to get the ice out, putting about a dozen holes in it. When I called an asked about reimbursement they just said "sucks to be you".

Inside the house they tore doors off of two kitchen cabinets. I was not the owner but they got nothing either. Again they were looking for "a body". Basically they can damage your house with impunity.

Interesting question. However, we're not the jury and without the full weight of evidence provided to them we shouldn't also be the judge, jury, and executioner. In other words, I don't know enough to make a comment.

So did the cops find a body? Find the killer?

Did that house happen to be off Mount Vernon road? ;)

Might be the first time this sentence has ever been written on a college sports message board!! ;)
