The lack of coaching experience scares the crap out of me, but I guess I'm not the one with my balls on the line here. It does seem to be an odd choice if the quotes from Thompson were true. It sounded like we had some very experienced, successful coaches interested.

Well, I think my original contribution to this thread was pretty spot on. Taking a guy with no experience and strong ties to the fanbase was a gamble. Fortunately, it has played out well so far. Hopefully some of the additional revenue from the uptick in bball ticket sales can be spent to put larger doors on the Jacobson building, because I'm not sure how Pollard manages to squeeze his giant stones through there every day.
