I also feel like the Americans strategy the past two Cups have been; let’s pick names who have played in the Ryder Cup before, rather than guys who are playing well right now.Maybe, but I think right now the bigger issue is there are just more top level guys from Europe. And I don't know if that is going to change much anytime soon. Need the next young (ages like 23-28) American wave to step up.
I’m honestly surprised Spieth wasn’t on it.I also feel like the Americans strategy the past two Cups have been; let’s pick names who have played in the Ryder Cup before, rather than guys who are playing well right now.
Why are Thomas and Morikawa on this team? They had lousy years. And Thomas, predictably ruined Bryson’s length with his approaches. Morikawa ran into a buzzsaw with Fleetwood Mac, but he pretty much gave us 0 chance in that match.
I can see why they're on the team, but I'm not sure why they didn't start the hottest guys this morning. Griffin and Spaun would have had a better chance, nerves or no nerves.I also feel like the Americans strategy the past two Cups have been; let’s pick names who have played in the Ryder Cup before, rather than guys who are playing well right now.

Imo they got to change that strategy. It was a disaster in Rome. It’s been a disaster this morning.I can see why they're on the team, but I'm not sure why they didn't start the hottest guys this morning. Griffin and Spaun would have had a better chance, nerves or no nerves.
Normally I would always agree with Koepka but he didn't have a great year.Until the PGA and Ryder Cup get over themselves and figure out a way to get a proper ranking of players - that includes LIV players as well - this will continue to happen. Europe did that. USA did not. It's still the good ole boys club. Say what you want, but I would rather have Patrick Reed and Brooks Koepka than several of the other guys that "qualified" for the team. And the results are showing it. Very disappointing.
Meh, Brooks and Patrick Reed haven't shown me much in the majors (or in general lately). Europe just has better LIV guysUntil the PGA and Ryder Cup get over themselves and figure out a way to get a proper ranking of players - that includes LIV players as well - this will continue to happen. yeah you can stomach 3-1 but dang we are in a hole (pun intended).Going down 3.5 - 0.5 or 4 - 0 is going to be rough to come back from. Need this last match to turn back.
Brooks just finished 4th in the Open De France last week. He steps up in events like this. I'd take him in a heart beat.Normally I would always agree with Koepka but he didn't have a great year.
Thomas auto qualifiedI also feel like the Americans strategy the past two Cups have been; let’s pick names who have played in the Ryder Cup before, rather than guys who are playing well right now.

Yeah, 3-1 looked more likely than not based on match ups (which does say something about the matches we put out there), though I thought Scottie would have been the 1. There's a whole lot more pressure on this last match than anyone ever thought there would be.yeah you can stomach 3-1 but dang we are in a hole (pun intended).
Uh no. Koepka sucked this year. Reed is not a top 10 American player. What about Andrew Novak, Chris Gotterup, even Keegan himself. They played very well in July-August. The problem is the U.S. pick names not results imoUntil the PGA and Ryder Cup get over themselves and figure out a way to get a proper ranking of players - that includes LIV players as well - this will continue to happen. Missed the cut in 3/4 majors and 2/3 DP World events. Would have been a HUGE stretch.Brooks just finished 4th in the Open De France last week. He steps up in events like this. I'd take him in a heart beat.
I don’t think so. These were the auto-qualifiers: Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, J.J. Spaun, Russell Henley, Harris English, and Bryson DeChambeau.Thomas auto qualified
