Disappointed the US got into such a hole before making a run. However, the fact that we kept alive so long yesterday was great theatre. I was at Hy-Vee and had my phone on propped up in my shopping cart because I couldn't miss a shot.
Never fun to lose especially at home when you gotta wait 4 years to host again, however as a whole it was a big win for me. This was the first time I've actually watched and been 100% all in every shot, discussing strategy, commenting on pairings, pretending I know more golf that I do ect. I can't remember having more fun watching golf win/lose other than maybe in 2019 when Tiger made his run at Augusta. I love how much the players care about this, how much they care about each other, and all the crowd interaction. I used to think this was a glorified exhibition, but had no idea how big of a deal it was.
These guys want to beat each other so badly, but I also love seeing the sportsmanship after a match. Just great for the game of golf that we all love. Hope the US makes some tweaks and analyzes what went wrong.
