NBA: *** 2025-26 NBA Thread ***

I said it earlier and I still think if I'm spurs in the offseason I'm trying to trade fox and then make LeBron a rich 1 year offer. They desperately needed someone with his composure, passing, and body when Knicks made their run

Was it OG that contested that Fox layup? Fox went for it because he thought he had a free 2 points and whoever it was ran him down and did a great job contesting it to the limit without fouling.

IMO you take the 2 points if it’s guaranteed. Worst case is a tie if they hit a 3. Making 2 ft’s in that situation is optimistic.

This is what I was thinking. I didn't think what Fox did was that egregious if he felt he had an easy 2. Obviously it didn't work out but I don't think the mindset was as bad as everyone is saying.

Disagree but I see the point. Fox is a 76% FT shooter so it’s not guaranteed but a contested layup there was far more risky than burning some time and forcing New York to still hit a big shot. Then again, the way they were struggling, he might’ve just missed both too.

Yeah it was. OG is a freak athlete at 6'7" 240 that made a hell of play, I'm not sure what else Fox could have done. It's not like he could hear him coming.

OG has been FMVP

So seeing someone with a large influence who appears to enjoy the same entertainment you do is a bad thing?

I'll never understand the Taylor Swift complaints. Yeah, she's on camera a handful of times, who gives a ****.
Rather look at her than the usual crew of Spike Lee, Ben Stiller etc...

Not sure they change anything for Game 2. However, another lever to pull is start Harper and have Fox come off the bench. Harper was their best player last night.

I’ve said before, and hot take here, the Spurs are better without Fox. Or, at the very least, just as good. He’s injured, he’s streaky, he disappears in big moments, he’s not great defensively. I’d probably try to trade him this offseason if I’m the Spurs.
Just going to leave this here after one of the worst individual performances in the 4th quarter last night I’ve ever seen. Holy ****.

OG is a baller. He's like a better version of Iguodala during the Warriors run.

But Brunson is on another level and when the rest of that team was complete garbage he was still tearing it up and keeping them within striking distance. That team is complete garbage without him. OG is a great role guy. KAT pulls disappearing acts for games at a time. Hart is a good role player typically, but with the ankle injury he's really unproductive given his minutes. Bridges has sucked.

Kind of hard to imagine a guy playing in NY putting up 30 a game on 40% 3Pt shooting and running every ounce of offense through him is underappreciated, but I think that's the case.

What's the saying? "Everybody is better than Brunson until it's time to be better than Brunson."

If Towns doesn't get his fingertips on this I think Spurs might have won. Castle was breaking open for the lob but had to come back to the ball after it was deflected.
