And yet they still had us as #5 in the Big 12. Is the league really that down? 5th place is usually in the tournament easily.

The Big 12 is definitely down this year -- but only slightly. Finding a way to compare that across seasons can be tricky, but the quickest one that I know says...

The SRS rating is definitely down from the mountaintop of 2016-2017.

The SOS rating might look low, but I think that is misleading right now because everybody is still working through the cupcake section of the schedule.

That will come up over the next few months.

It appears the conference is down from its zenith but still pretty good, though, but that might just be a few great teams at the top (e.g., Kansas, WVU, maybe TTU) pulling it up and everybody else being kind of mediocre. Nonetheless, it is still about as good as it was last year, which managed to get six teams into the NCAA tournament.

2007 was the last year the conference only had four in the NCAA tournament.

How the hell are they gonna win 8 more games? Going all Tonya Harding on a bunch of people in conference play seems like the only way that's possible.

Haliburton will play. The effort against SH and Bama will win several games, although 8 may be optimistic.

Well, it worked for Larry... Gilloolying people can be fun, right?

The one thing Prohm teams have always had is elite PG play, starting from Canaan and Payne through to Morris, Weiler-Babb, and now Haliburton.

Take that away, and we saw what happened.

Haliburton is like a Blastoise out there compared to the rest of our players being a bunch of Squirtles. We are going to win some games in the Big 12 with him. Just how many is the question, and unless we get to 10-8 (and maybe have some help with a few wins in Kansas City), then we are probably outside looking in.
