2-10?

UNI, Toledo (because they won't be expecting a loss at all after the Arkansas game), Texas, KU, and maybe TCU/Baylor if they are in the top 5 at the time. That's my dream schedule of wins. OU is the only game that I will say right now that we do not have a chance in.

Realistically? Well, I still know where the cup I got issued when I chose to like ISU football is.

The good news about KU is that it is early. They are a dumpster fire and will still be in three weeks time. If we lose to KU at home (which I agree is NOT a gimmie), then good night Paul.

Well, losing to Iowa isn't the end of the world. The game was tied with 6 minutes to play. The second half O was terrible but if they can play like they did for most of the first half there are a few wins left... I refuse to give up on these guys. They need our support now more than ever. CPR, well... he is probably gone next season.

Rhoads, the assistants, and the assistants sons are just collecting salaries now.
Liberty Bowl.

If the Baylor game were in Ames, I'd say we may be able to pull an upset because that program seems to have adopted Longhorn like entitlement in just a couple years time.

Instead, we have TCU at home, who wont be caught sleeping as easily.

Texas on the other hand. I think we beat them. Their offense is worse than ours.

I love how in a three and a half hour span this board went from thinking 5-6 wins this season to suddenly 2 wins at a max.

I worry for the mental well being of many of you.

Don't kid yourself. They are a historical dumpster fire this year.

For some reason this reminds me of wrestling in high school gym class. The class was divided into three weight classes with me being one of the smallest, lightest, scrawniest guys in the class. We rotated choices of who to wrestle. The other light weight guys chose me a lot and kicked my *** bad (picture the Hulk in the Avengers movie thrashing Loki like a rag doll). When it was my choice I choose the only weaker scrawnier guy in the class, Danny. I could beat him but not by much but I was not thee worst wrestler in that class. Big woot!

Why can't we be the Hulk ever and the other Nebraska's and Oklahoma's be the Loki??
I wish I could cage match Mark Ruffalo.....now. I would love to get in a ring with him.

Because we never have been. College football is all about the haves and have nots. More teams drop out of the have category than join it. Almost nobody steps up to become a have.

Bump. I said IOwa's secondary was very good. Someone said it wasn't. Apparently your offensive coordinator agrees with me. Says both corners will be playing on Sunday.

I'll bump this thread as appropriate. Probably be back Sunday as you could easily be at win #2. I think it very possible I could keep bumping this until you get to game 6. We'll see. I'm almost positive I'll bump it when you surpass last year's win total. And there's a puncher's chance I'll be back when ISU is bowl eligible.

The secondary had nothing to do with Iowa's win. The front four dominating our line and destroying our run game did.

ISU played well for a half. They looked like a real football team on both sides of the ball. Everyone needs to chill out. I generally think Iowa is over rated but they played a good game yesterday and we were in it pretty much til the end despite our horrible 2nd half of offense.

This team does NOT look like last years team and despite the final score that game could have gone either way.

Finally, Toledo is not Alabama so everyone needs to stop marking that as a loss. This team can play, give them a chance! Rivalry game can go either way every single year.

Now I know how Iowa feels like when they lose to ISU.

Iowa did the things they needed to win. But ISU for the most part also allowed them to do those things. Be it coaching or lack of player execution ISU let one slip away. I do not feel like Iowa is better talent wise.

So on one hand that's refreshing because I have been used to ISU get blown up because the talent gap has been so huge yet it's very frustrating to know you have the players to win but don't because of breakdowns.

Talent gap is a lagging indicator. I'd base it on how many on this year's teams sniff the NFL.

I would think this if they hadn't just beaten a good Arkansas team.

That said, maybe Arkansas just laid a huge turd. Certainly not counting us out this week and I do not think KU will be our only other win. I still see 4 wins.

After the 1975 season the fans wanted Earle Bruce FIRED for only winning 4 games...........Have we fallen SO LOW that 4 wins is acceptable in Rhoads 7th season...........Now that's really Sad
