In Memoriam: Ames Business/Restaurants

That honestly isn't surprising.

I don't want to see any place close but that place was terribly managed.
Same. Ames needs all the restaurants it can get, but this place felt doomed from the day they opened their doors.

I personally had a great experience the times we’ve been there and will miss it.

Taste Place was our favorite authentic Chinese place in Ames (in Iowa really). Used to be on Welch but closed awhile back. Last weekend, we happened to be in North Liberty and found they had moved there. Same family, menu, and food was delicious as always!

Not a big loss in my book. Place seemed to be run by people that had no clue how to run a business. Plus when we were there once hostess told us we should probably go some place else. WTF??

Guy who was at oc split time between oc and Mullets. 2 weeks before opening they changed gm's and new one had no experience.

The end was tough I agree but in their prime it was great.
Did the original owners sell pretty quickly after it opened? I feel like it stayed open, but there was some sort of change after the first couple of years.

I dunno.

It's not like anything extravagant needs to go in there. Just nail something.
Burgers
Wings
Pizza

Just be solid at 1 thing.
