It’s a no brainer he would get one if they win. He played over half the season and was a rotation player. If he was a guy on a ten day that got traded for a washing machine and three basketballs maybe not. But they signed him as a FA, they wanted him there. This was a good trade for Cleveland but I hate it for Niang.

When the opposing team gives him that much time to line up his shot he's going to drain a lot of threes. One more year till he gets his 10 years for his max pension. Being a journeyman NBA player isn't a bad career. Sure you don't get those massive paydays but I certainly wouldn't turn down his paychecks.
10 year NBA career and you'll never have to work another day in your life. Neither will your kids. Good for Niang.
