Jaguar Rebrand

I know a brand is more than a logo, but honestly Jaguar's logo and overall brand identity has been pretty iconic over its history...

Well say goodbye to that, and hello to this...

I know Jaguar has been struggling, but this might actually put them into the ground. Woof.

Has anyone been in a Waymo? The car itself is made by Jaguar. I am guessing they are leaning into the driverless car pretty hard with their partnership with Google.
I took one in Phoenix and it was “the future is now” moment. It was such an awesome experience.

Hmmm...that doesn't really seem like marketing for their target clientele. It looks like an fashion show ad instead of a car company (and a wealthy, high end, elite-targeting one at that).

Old logo was great - I think they will regret this.

I think they're nearly desperate. They have seen a pretty massive drop in sales over the last few years. It's a shakeup move, to be sure, but that's the kind of stuff you try when the ship is sinking

They are, in fact, among the least reliable brands. That doesn't mean some people don't like them.

I think there were some models that literally came with a set of tools.

I'm actually neutral on it. I think the type could be improved a bit to move away from the JaGUar look easily enough. Just invert the U to make two A shapes and squeeze the G a little bit, then make the R upper case. The car got teased as well. Showed the pictures on bluesky, lets see if this works:

I'm not a designer but I've never been a fan of mixing lowercase and uppercase letters in a name. To me it just looks a little sophomoric and unserious.

Jaguar was a dying brand, which is sad. Hopefully, this brings them back to their once great history. The 60's E type may be the best looking car ever made. The Jaguar F Type may be the best sounding motor ever.
