Jaguar Rebrand

Some brand guys I know posted this on LinkedIn. Not as mold breaking as the very boring and benign teaser promised.

Below the jag are other recent concept ev cars.

What does everyone think? I dont understand the grill on the back.
Thoughts:
1. I don't hate the overall shape really, the lines are OK. Very 1930s retro gangster. But the accents are very... HVAC.
2. The interior is significantly worse if you want to google that.
3. It looks like a stretched, fastback coupe version of a Chrysler 300.

Lastly, and I don't mean this to be political or cultural at all, just a comment on the backasswardness of this whole marketing plan. Doing just 2 colors - pink or blue - like some kind of really expensive gender reveal ... does that really go with the bright multicolor outfits, weird haircuts, and haughty androgynous models you rolled out in the brand change teaser?? Because it seems like the exact opposite. The teaser says "copy nothing" and implies infinite diversity, but then you only have 2 colors?

This whole thing is going to be a Harvard Case Study on how NOT to manage your brand in about 10 years, maybe less. It's like watching the Titanic sink in real time.

I think the bigggest question is how much of the market can they get with them being that expensive. That is a crazy price point and they will no way sell as many cars without having some affordable 80k type cars.

It looks like a girl's Happy Meal toy. I can only assume each purchase comes with a kick-ass sticker sheet so you can decorate your new purchase with some flames, some flowers, maybe the word "AWESOME" inside of a sunburst, and obviously a unicorn.
