Asking again: Has the rot started to set in?

Has the rot started to creep in?

Injuries didn't lose the TTU game. Poor offensive play calling/strategy/execution lost that game.

But, I guess I don't expect much more from ISU on that front, since Campbell insists on bring knives to a gunfight as far as offensive coaching goes.

ISU isn't having an exceptional season. BYU, on the other hand, is.

Obviously we should fire Campbell according to you. Start over.

Personally do not care specific names from Rotters for said Campbell replacement.

However, there is no doubt Pollard has alerts set to this thread and The Rotters.

He is intently watching.

So in order to potentially persuade and expedite Pollard’s removal of CMC, you should start releasing a short list for Rotter Approved Replacements. R.A.R.’s if you will.

If you come up with some sure-fire recommendations….CMC may be gone by Thanksgiving!

The most disappointing thing about this offense is how damn predictable it is with certain personal. We've refused to work any other WR into the offense besides Noel and Higgins and are TE's outside of Bramher aren't pass threats.

Where has Green been? I'm really concerned about WR next year
We've been doing the same thing on both sides of the ball all season.

Apparently ISU didn't know it could self scout during the bye week.

So little creativity and improvement.

Abu still running for the sideline sure is fun.

The 3 d linemen just playing straight up pinch and tickle with the offensive line isn't producing any pressure.

Who knew?

We are what we are, and CMC is what he is. Red Ferentz.

Didn't you just say he was exceeding expectations?

Matt Campbell is the best coach we’ve ever had, I’m not here to argue that.

However, he has serious limitations. His cap is 7-9 wins. Type of stuff that gets you a statue at Iowa State. But that is obviously our ceiling. It’s reasonable to want more than that, considering we started 7-0 and it’s now looking like we may be lucky to win 2 more games all season.

Not to mention that it’s year 9 and the same mistakes plague this team year after year. Procedure penalties (seriously we have to lead the nation in those), not showing up ready to play, horrific O line play, and god awful playcalling. I think it’s more than fair to question the staff for that crap.
this had been improved the last two years, but seems like things regressed after the bye.

How do you know that? I’m not saying he needs to be fired right now, but a good coach would have no problem winning here.

This is the coach worship part I don’t like. He’s building on the good parts of what McCarney and Rhoads did and the work JP has put in (and that’s not a knock on CMC that is what he should do and has done). The next guy should be able to build on top of that. It’s a structure built from the ground up, not the top down.

Can you make a bad hire? Yep. Can you make a great hire? Yep. No one knows what would happen.

I NEED NAMES THOUGH GOD DAMMIT. **** off.

Campbell is a good coach and has no problem winning here.. comparatively speaking to other coaches we've had.

How can you be so sure a new hire would be a good coach? Iowa State is sure as sh*t not hiring a current P4 good coach, so you'd take a chance on a young guy and hope it works.

Say you do that, you're looking at 2-3 years minimum to probably get it up and running. If it doesn't work? You're even further behind. If it works, that guy is potentially leaving for bigger and better places and your behind.. again.

The stability you currently have with Campbell and pairing that with the winning he is doing is irreplaceable.

Gunner needs to stop with the weed, get out of his parents basement, and get a dose of reality.

Is it? We have yet to play anyone decent. We dodged the 2 best teams in the Big 12. 7-2 doesn’t even get us ranked. I’d hardly call that “exceptional”
how is ANY of that iowa states fault or matt Campbell's fault? Dodged???

That is one of the dumbest things ive' read and i post ALOT of dumb sh*t.

The stability is key. Best case scenario: There might be some young guy who could come in here and win 9-10 games for 2 years and then bounce, taking all his players with him.

Is that really what you want?

What is it that Campbell built off Rhoads?

Exactly. Campbell has proven he wants to be here.

Now, you could potentially get yourself another hire like that, but doubtful in today$ climate.

Transfer portal and NIL has completely changed the game. These rotters live in the past where players were stuck and had to just play for the next guy.

Hire a new G5 coach or whatever, get stuck with a G5 roster. Does it end up like Indiana? I guess maybe, but more than likely, no.

The Curt Cignetti experiment will be interesting to see going forward. 63 year old coach whose only on his 3rd year of being a head coach (2 years prior at James Madison)

Quite right. When the schedule came out ISU was supposed to play 3 of the top 4 teams. It is just that nobody bothered to tell those 'top teams' that they were supposed to be good this year.

You’re positing that ISU is on an upward trajectory of improved results and program health independent of the staff and that this will continue on an upward trend no matter who is at the helm.

What we do know:
- ISU will improve after moving on from MC even if we have a series of unsuccessful hires.
- MC will not improve, ISU deserves more, and is better off without him

Is that accurate?

So let’s fire our most successful head coach in our history in the middle of a 7-2 season just because someone might be better or they might be worse? So glad you’re not the AD.

The reason I want names is because hopefully you’ll have the self awareness to realize you’re an idiot. Your post just proves you’re an idiot with zero self awareness

Be interesting to see what the building looks like if the next guy is more Gene Chizik rather than Matt Campbell.
