Asking again: Has the rot started to set in?

Has the rot started to creep in?

Is it? We have yet to play anyone decent. We dodged the 2 best teams in the Big 12. 7-2 doesn’t even get us ranked. I’d hardly call that “exceptional”

Either you don’t understand how the rankings are slanted against any conference other than Big 10/SEC or you are living in denial.

We all know how preseason rankings shape the rest of the seasons polls/rankings. The pollsters missed big time on 4 of the 5 they had ranked in the preseason and it’s killing the Big 12 now.

I feel like you have to know this and just hate Campbell so much you are willfully ignoring this.

CMC and the Cyclones are exceeding expectations this year.

McCarney, Rhoads, and Chizik never faced a schedule this soft. And never had this level of support and facilities.

Those things can both be true.

It can also be true that CMC no longer is capable of adjusting to the realities of the roster or becoming capable as a gameday coach and managing timeouts and tempo.

We're allowed to notice flaws and offer solutions. Some of us suffered through 0-10-1 during undergrad and have earned our grumpiness.

Would you expound on what you mean by that?

My last 3 years at ISU we won a total of 8 games and that was less than 10 years ago. I’m willing to enjoy the good times while they’re here.

Do I hope things get better? Yes, and that’s why I donate to the gridiron club and WeWill

No, but something of note, our recruiting class ranking haven't been as highly rated lately.

For a much praise Eli Rasheed gets, aside from McDonald, our d end's just don't do anything game changing or special. The guys this year this go straight bull rush, no other moves.

And I'm not on the fire CMC bandwagon either. But I am totally over the fans who think CMC is untouchable because he is our best coach ever. It is just a terrible way to measure a coach here.
But we're finally playing teams on our level with 3 games to play where if we win out we are playing for a conference title. Injuries happen and feel like we've been depleted a bit more than normal. Is this rot we need to address?

McCarney had the big 12 north with no Texas or OK schools, with the right schedule they avoided both Texas and OU (like in 2004& 2005).

It's not exceptional if you should be 9-0, with a loss to the team with the weakest defense in the league. Also, ISU likely hasn't been in a conference this weak for decades.

Are you just ignoring the injuries that have taken place on this team? If the last 3 games happened when they were even relatively healthy, you could make an argument for a problem. But not the way the season has transpired.

And yes, this season is certainly exceptional to this point.

Injuries didn't lose the TTU game. Poor offensive play calling/strategy/execution lost that game.

But, I guess I don't expect much more from ISU on that front, since Campbell insists on bring knives to a gunfight as far as offensive coaching goes.

ISU isn't having an exceptional season. BYU, on the other hand, is.

I just looked at the Poll choices for this thread. I think we need a 4th choice, and then I will vote.

"Gunner is wrong and is an idiot".

Sorry gunner, that was too easy.

Edit: Gunner, you and I may rarely agree, but I don't think you are an idiot.

The most disappointing thing about this offense is how damn predictable it is with certain personal. We've refused to work any other WR into the offense besides Noel and Higgins and are TE's outside of Bramher aren't pass threats.

Where has Green been? I'm really concerned about WR next year

Why ask him? He is going to feel a reason to post another screed.
